A program for a merely renewed party
On Sunday, the leader of this central committee, Ramiz Alia’s policy, which gives fresh life to demagoguery and nationalism, also presented the latest program. It does not differ much from the one put forward for the 31 March elections, except that now it has been enriched with some theses that are appearing more appealing to the deceived masses. In this sense, he repeats that it will last “more than 5 years,” if he is the winner!…
After all, he surely knows very well that by postponing deadlines he can no longer fool the people. This is also the reason why, in his speech, there is so much effort to defend Albanian revisionism, by dressing it in a supposedly pluralist guise. All this effort essentially aims to preserve the old positions of the ruling caste in new forms.
The program presented offers no real solutions to the deep economic, political and moral crisis that has engulfed the country. On the contrary, it tries to present this crisis as the result of isolated “mistakes,” not as the product of the very failed system that has ruled for decades.
If once “reforms” were promised with great fanfare, now “renewal” is being spoken of as if it were the same thing. But the people know that words are not enough. They expect real change, not fine-sounding words and worn-out political formulas.
That is why the response to a merely renewed party can no longer be the same as before. In today’s conditions, responsibility, transparency and a genuine break with the past are required.
