Time is moving fast, and so is the fate of our country, almost beyond control. Specifically, this is about the government issue. The calendar pages are turning. The calendar shows that only 2 days remain to create and support the new government with a cabinet and a program. And, most importantly, quite naturally and entirely understandably, the public and especially the people are becoming impatient, because so far they see nothing concrete except statements and declarations that repeat already known demands. The key to serious discussions these days about the government seems to be agreement in parliament on the composition of the cabinet. Many ordinary people see the matter very simply; others judge and comment from sometimes narrow, subjective, emotional criteria. But regardless of that, it is well known that the future government is decisive not only for a few months but for the coming years. People rightly ask: Who will represent the country, who will be entrusted with the heavy burden of reform, who will bear the political and moral responsibility for coming out of the crisis? At this point parliament faces a great test. It must show maturity, a sense of responsibility, and a willingness to compromise for the sake of the national interest. Every unjustified delay makes the situation even more difficult. Every petty political calculation harms the process. The country expects a solution. The people await the words and actions of the deputies.
