THE BALLIST PARTY MAKES A COALITION WITH THE GREEK “MINORITY”
The reactions triggered by the statement of the chairman of the Democratic Party, Mr. Sali Berisha, regarding his party’s possible coalition with PBDNJ have taken on new dimensions.
Representatives of the PDS in the city of Korçë, now lined up as a refuge of Mr. Sali Berisha, irritated by Mr. Berisha’s statement that he would completely eliminate the Albanian national closeness to the Greek one, have made public a joint document accusing the chairman of the PD of “Ballism.”
Veterans’ organizations of the LANÇ and those coming from Vlorë, Delvinë and Gjirokastër have also spoken about this document, describing this move as a “serious anti-national act.”
A good part of the educated people in this area have also denounced that slogans with chauvinistic and provocative content are circulating in various election centers, attempting to stir up religious and regional divisions.
In the joint statement of the veterans it is said that “today’s coalition with extremists of the Greek minority and the old Ballists is a bitter return to policies that damage the national integrity and the historical memory of the Albanian people.”
They call on political parties to distance themselves from any ties that harm the national interest and not to use the elections as a pretext for unacceptable bargaining.

- KRYOVË -
The chairman of the Socialist Party, comrade Fatos Nano, in a meeting yesterday with residents of this area pointed out that the PS economic program provides special support for the countryside, irrigation, selected seeds, and the guarantee of a market for agricultural products.
He said that no reform can succeed if the farmer is left without credit, without machinery, and without legal security over the land. At the meeting, residents raised concerns about the shortage of diesel fuel, chemical fertilizers, the deterioration of irrigation canals, and the non-functioning of collection points.
Mr. Nano stressed that the Socialist Party aims to build a market economy with a human face, where the state does not abandon the weakest strata and where privatization does not turn into plunder.

WHO ARE THE “COMMUNIST POWER-HOLDERS” IN TIRANA?
IN QUESTION: THE FACTS AND A LITTLE COMMENT
:
Today's Tirana, d[sic?]ve and the added police and traffic, and in the construction police sector? Ask for the secretary general of the Tirana Municipality? The head of personnel of this municipality? The head of personnel of the Tirana District? The employees with high salaries and those with decision-making power? In all these directions you will not find a single communist. The same picture is also in the Cadastre Directorate, in customs, in banks and in other institutions. This means that the general accusation of “communist power-holders” is used simply as a propaganda tool.
If someone wants facts, let them present concrete names and posts. Otherwise, this is political slander.

LANA E MANA
RADIO AND TELEVISION HAVE BEEN USURPED BY THE OPPOSITION
Enough members and supporters of the staff of LSI and FZII have taken over all 24 hours of the schedule. In this unimaginable television chaos, only two options have been presented: either to abolish television altogether, or to place it under a multiparty administration. - Zëri i Popullit, which was thought to have been controlled by the PPSH in recent years, but which in fact has always been property of the nomenklatura, is the only newspaper where the opposition finds no place. That is why it has been targeted from all sides. Those who call for depoliticized radio and television should do the same with Zëri i Popullit, separated from the apparatus through the separation of state and party. - From the editor-in-chief of the Italian newspaper “La Repubblica,” Eugenio Scalfari, in the interview published yesterday in the newspaper “Koha Jonë” (page 3).

The coalition with six in its mouth
For the “naive” reader of the vote, the coalition with six has been presented as a sign of civility and emancipation. In reality, according to the author, it hides a plain electoral bargain, without principles and without a common program.
The latest movements of some officials, the lists of candidates, and the efforts to create the impression of a broader opposition front also became known.
At the end, the author asks: is this a sincere union or simply a deal to get the seats?
