THE WORLD DOES NOT PREJUDGE ANYONE:
ALBANIA IS NOT A THROWN-TOGETHER DOOR
Our country in its past, with all its suffering, traumas, anxieties, and unpredictable shocks, should not be trampled underfoot and seen as a cursed, desolate, hopeless land. As Albanian society is trying to build democratic life and a market economy, it cannot be regarded as a space where everything is lost. Albania is not just anyone’s thrown-open door, but a country that must find its own path in the European family.
In this sense, every prejudice, every slighting attitude, and every exclusionary treatment of Albanians is unjust. Our people deserve to be valued for their strength, for their desire for change, and for their difficult effort in these turbulent years.
Today, more than ever, moderation, trust, and responsibility are needed. It cannot be accepted that Albania be presented as a dark corner of Europe. On the contrary, its identity, human potential, and the will of its citizens to build a better future must be affirmed.

VANGJEL MUSAI
As can be seen in these days from the developments of the election campaign and especially from the work with the people, which has taken place in the pages of our newspaper, it is clear that voters are looking for seriousness, a program, and honesty. They want to know who works and who makes empty promises, who serves the country and who serves only themselves.
In this sense, the election is not a formal act, but a great responsibility. Care for the vote is care for everyday life, for bread, for children, for school, and for each person’s dignity.

Congratulatory telegram
Mr. Pietro Ingrao
President of the Socialist International
Rome
Dear Mr. Ingrao,
On behalf of the Socialist Party of Albania, we thank you for your greetings and your solidarity on these important days for our country. The friendship and understanding of the European progressive forces constitute a special encouragement for Albanian socialists.
FATOS NANO
Chairman of the Socialist Party
Why did he accept the candidacy of Socialist deputy Hektor Cani?
I judged that for two decades in Viteta[?] I should not accept the candidacy in my own place. However, after the insistence of many friends and comrades, after assessing the serious social and economic situation and the need for serious representation in the Assembly, I decided to accept the candidacy.
Citizens should know that I am not running for privileges, but to contribute with my experience and with my conviction that real change requires responsible and honest people.

Can Mr. Afrim Hupi be a deputy?
... Mr. Afrim Hupi has distributed anonymously a leaflet titled "Can Mr. Afrim Hupi be a deputy?" in which he tries to present himself as a persecuted man, as a pure democrat, and as a representative of the citizen’s interest. But the facts and testimonies of the people of the area tell a different story.
He is accused of having held double positions, of being involved in conflicts, and of not having shown the moral and public profile required of a representative of the people. Democracy needs true democrats and not political adventurers.
Article of the day
The Socialist Party does not promise air! It promises the fulfillment of the ardent desire of thousands of socialists, or of yesterday’s and today’s disillusioned people. With the triumph of democracy, with forces freed from monist dictatorship, united with opposition will, they will realize the aspiration to make Albania like Europe.
Voters, vote for the Socialist Party!
