FREE ELECTIONS MEAN ACCEPTING THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE Meetings in the hall of the District Committee of the Socialist Party — The PSH will respect the will of the people in the elections of 22 March. — The chairman of the Socialist Party, Mr. Fatos Nano, held meetings yesterday afternoon with representatives of the foreign media, Western European democrats, students from American universities and colleges. In these meetings, the chairman of the PSSH, Mr. Fatos Nano, expressed his conviction that, despite manipulations, pressures, vote-buying and other violations of the electoral law, Albania will have free and democratic elections in which the will of the people will be expressed. Free and proper elections, he said, without violations or manipulations, without violence or threats, will be a victory for democracy. To accept their result, whatever it may be, means to accept the will of the people. The Socialist Party is determined to respect this will. The Helsinki Commission makes an appeal!
