— OPINIONE PAS-ELEKTORALE — Opozitë nuk do të thotë lejimçe nga konkurrenca politike 22 Marsi shënoi, konturet zgjedhore dhe përcaktoi qartë fituesit e humbësit. Votuesi, ndonëse i trembur dhe ende i paqartë në orientimin e vet politik, dha me votën e tij preferencën e vet. PS fitoi, sepse qe e para e organizuar në bazë e në qendër dhe përfaqësoi urtësinë e mençurinë politiko-shoqërore në kushte, kur PD kishte shfaqur para elektoratit një vakuum alternativ. Ajo nuk gjeti dot as alternativën qeverisëse në tërësinë e vet, as mjetet e instrumentet e luftës politike që të bindte votuesin se ajo ishte forca që mund të nxirrte Shqipërinë nga gjendja e rëndë ku ndodhet. Veç kësaj, humbjen e PD së duhet ta ketë shkaktuar vetë stili i saj i mbrapshtë, puna e papjekur, revanshi verbal e politik i shumë krerëve të saj. Njerëzit nuk mund të votonin një forcë politike që fsheh ose justifikon veprime të dënueshme, që ushqen urrejtje e grindje. Me gjithë humbjen, gjithsesi, PD mbetet një forcë e konsiderueshme politike, e cila ka siguruar mbi 30 për qind të votave në këto zgjedhje. Kjo është një pasuri për pluralizmin dhe duhet ta bëjë më të urtë e më realiste opozitën. Kjo i imponon asaj përgjegjësi shumë më të mëdha. Fitorja nuk është një festë pa fund, por një barrë e rëndë për të provuar se premtimet mund të shndërrohen në vepra. Njerëzit presin ulje tensioni, shtet ligjor, drejtësi sociale dhe fillimin e rimëkëmbjes. Opozita e nesërme, cilado qoftë ajo, duhet të kuptojë se pushteti nuk fitohet me zhurmë, por me besim; jo me sharje, por me argument; jo me destabilizim, por me program. March 22 marked the electoral outlines and clearly defined winners and losers. The voter, though frightened and still unclear in political orientation, gave his preference through his vote. The Socialist Party won because it was the first organized force at the base and in the center and represented prudence and socio-political wisdom, while the Democratic Party had shown an alternative vacuum before the electorate. It failed to find either a full governing alternative or the means and instruments of political struggle to convince voters that it was the force that could pull Albania out of its grave condition. Moreover, PD's loss must also have been caused by its own perverse style, immature work, and the verbal and political revenge of many of its leaders. People could not vote for a political force that hides or justifies condemnable acts, that feeds hatred and quarrels. Despite the loss, PD remains a considerable political force, having secured over 30 percent of the vote in these elections. This is an asset for pluralism and should make the opposition wiser and more realistic. The opposition should not consider itself a mere concession of democracy, but a necessary factor in political life. If it knows how to rebuild itself, respect the democratic rules of the political game, and articulate its alternatives without violence and blackmail, then it can play a positive role in the country’s development. Albania needs constructive opposition and not destructive opposition. Our people are tired of conflicts, artificial crises, calls for overthrow and confrontation. The country needs calm, production, work, economic recovery, and legal security. The Socialist Party won these elections not only as an opponent of previous governance, but also because it presented a more credible alternative for stability and change. This imposes much greater responsibilities on it. Victory is not an endless celebration, but a heavy burden to prove that promises can be turned into deeds. People expect reduced tension, rule of law, social justice, and the beginning of recovery. Tomorrow’s opposition, whoever it may be, must understand that power is not won through noise, but through trust; not through insults, but through argument; not through destabilization, but through program. Only in this way does political competition become useful for the nation. In this sense, constructive opposition is part of development and not an obstacle to it.) Inoltre, la sconfitta del PD deve essere stata causata anche dal suo stesso stile perverso, dal lavoro immaturo e dal revanscismo verbale e politico di molti suoi dirigenti. La gente non poteva votare una forza politica che nasconde o giustifica azioni condannabili, che alimenta odio e litigi. Nonostante la sconfitta, il PD rimane una forza politica considerevole, avendo ottenuto oltre il 30 per cento dei voti in queste elezioni. Questo è un bene per il pluralismo e dovrebbe rendere l’opposizione più saggia e realistica. L’opposizione non dovrebbe considerarsi una semplice concessione della democrazia, ma un fattore necessario della vita politica. Se saprà ricostruirsi, rispettare le regole democratiche del gioco politico e articolare le proprie alternative senza violenza né ricatto, allora potrà svolgere un ruolo positivo nello sviluppo del paese. L’Albania ha bisogno di un’opposizione costruttiva e non di un’opposizione distruttiva. Il nostro popolo è stanco dei conflitti, delle crisi artificiali, degli appelli al rovesciamento e allo scontro. Il paese ha bisogno di calma, produzione, lavoro, ripresa economica e sicurezza giuridica. Il Partito Socialista ha vinto queste elezioni non solo come oppositore del governo precedente, ma anche perché ha presentato un’alternativa più credibile per la stabilità e il cambiamento. Ciò gli impone responsabilità molto maggiori. La vittoria non è una festa senza fine, ma un pesante fardello per dimostrare che le promesse possono trasformarsi in fatti. La gente si aspetta riduzione della tensione, stato di diritto, giustizia sociale e l’inizio della ripresa. L’opposizione di domani, chiunque essa sia, deve capire che il potere non si conquista con il rumore, ma con la fiducia; non con gli insulti, ma con l’argomentazione; non con la destabilizzazione, ma con il programma. Solo così la competizione politica diventa utile alla nazione. In questo senso, l’opposizione costruttiva è parte dello sviluppo e non un ostacolo ad esso.)

Equally important is preserving party unity, the spirit of debate, and continuous links with the grassroots. From this victory we must not draw false illusions.
