SUFFICIENT? HAVE DONE THE SAME

During the month of March, 89 murders, 59 firearm injuries, 23 deaths in other circumstances, 13 killed, 12 wounded, two lines. Violence and insecurity have grown to frightening proportions. From the figures given on crime and insecurity that are served to us by the state, we also find figures showing how much a person in Albania lives under the fear of the gun and the bandit. These figures are unbelievable, but unfortunately true. In the single month of March, dozens of murders, injuries, robberies and other acts of violence were recorded, showing an extremely serious situation of law and order. (Continues on page 4)

Concerns and dilemmas

Social difficulties The elections of 22 March changed not only political balances, but also strongly brought to light old and new wounds in our social life. Against this backdrop, people’s insecurities, poverty, shortages and confusion as they face tomorrow are more clearly visible. In many areas there is a lack of the calm necessary for work and life. Economic hardships, unemployment and the lack of prospects make citizens’ concerns even sharper. (Continues on page 4)

The President appoints the new government
