We ask nothing more:
JUST THE APPLICATION OF THE LAW
On the basis of the agreement we reached with the PD, also taking our cue from the warnings of the local and central administration about the agreement and its breaking, we are addressing the public. In accordance with our political program and the priorities we have set for solving the country’s problems, the PSD did not take part in the government. This decision was publicly announced in the name of the party by its chairman, Skënder Gjinushi, on 22 March 1992.
With this decision, our people and the members of the political party heard and understood our motives and our purpose.
Believing that this action of ours was in line with the interests of the country and with the orientations of the Albanian electorate, we came out openly against the aim of monopolizing power. Any kind of stalling will fail before the will of the law and before justice.
Consistent with our decision and our political program, we point out that the path of applying the law is the only way out of the difficult situation. Our party will support every initiative that strengthens the rule of law, pluralism, dialogue and social understanding.
We ask only for the application of the law. Let the agreements reached be respected, let acquired rights not be undermined, and let power not be used for political purposes.
This is our position and that of the electorate that has placed its trust in us.
The effort of the pioneer
The comment of “Zëri i Popullit” on the elections of 22 March. This result stripped Albanian politics of illusions and placed it before major responsibilities. First of all, pluralism will be measured by political culture and by the ability to respect one’s opponent.
Furthermore, the country needs serious institutions and an economy that can emerge from the crisis. Big words are not enough. Law, order and proper administration are needed.
Political parties must understand that a new beginning requires experience, maturity and responsibility. Whoever wins today must not behave as the eternal master of power.
REFORMS MUST BE CARRIED OUT IN FAVOR OF THE MAJORITY

We emphasize that reform cannot be only a program of numbers. It must place the person, the family and the public interest at its center.
For this reason, every new economic policy must be accompanied by concrete social measures and by an honest management of resources.

Today, the form gave the protest of the bank trade union. The union representatives said that the country can no longer withstand dangerous experiments and called for social dialogue.
They stressed that citizens expect concrete solutions, not political slogans. Some of the participants noted that wages and savings are losing value.
