WHY?! THE LAW ON AGITATION AND PROPAGANDA?
(Continued on page 3)
Do not be surprised to hear statements cast in a popular and proverbial form, such as these: "The voice, the voice of the people brought the cat out of the tree with a shovel." We are convinced that this is among the few signs that clearly show that the elections were not won only with votes and words, but also with an organized spirit of pressure, threats and hatred.
For a law on agitation and propaganda to be demanded today sounds paradoxical to those who have used propaganda as a daily tool. But precisely because propaganda has turned into an instrument of destabilization, into a language of division and into a tool of political lynching, the question arises: why should there not also be rules here?
This is not about restricting free thought, nor about bringing back the spirit of censorship from the past. On the contrary, it is about protecting society from organized defamation, from implied calls for revenge, and from the systematic distortion of the truth.
In such a climate, words become a weapon. And when a weapon is used irresponsibly, the consequences are not only political, but also social, moral and human.
Those who yesterday shouted against every limit are today using, without any scruple, the most brutal mechanisms of influence over crowds. So this debate is not excessive. It is overdue.
Do us a favor
If it had not been for Sali Berisha's PD, apparently no one would have remembered the fate of former political persecuted people.
Voices, articles, statements, promises and protests are all now being made for them. Now, after they have been used and politically exploited for two years to the point of cynicism. Now, when most of those who speak in their name have left them waiting for everything from promises, while the real hardships of their lives remain just as heavy.
Their anger is therefore understandable. But equally understandable is the distrust toward those who remember them only on the eve of elections. If there had been a sincere will to solve their problems, this could have been done earlier, without noise and without hypocrisy.
Today, some seek to present themselves as saviors, when in fact they have contributed to leaving this issue unresolved. They have created illusions, encouraged division, and used suffering as an electoral argument.
Former political persecuted people deserve justice, not false pity. They deserve concrete solutions, not empty words. And above all, they deserve not to be used anymore.

Where are our boys' dollars going...
(Continued on page 3)
The latest data speak of a large number of young Albanians who have taken the road of emigration. Their families often survive on the money sent by the boys from abroad. But the question that arises is: where do these dollars go?
Instead of serving for small family investments, for building, for schooling or for improving living conditions, many of them are squandered in daily consumption, in insecure trade, or lost in the hands of intermediaries and moneylenders.
Thus, the sacrifice of emigrants does not turn into development, but only into survival. And that is the silent drama of many Albanian families.

At the center of the conflict have been property, borders, old vendettas, but also the present poverty that drives people to lose patience. Instead of calming down, the sides have become even more agitated.
This situation has become known to everyone, while the local authorities have remained either unable or uninterested in intervening in time.
