“Land distribution will be completed by 15 June”

(From the zones of the “Meksi” government) ARE WE GOING TO LOSE ANOTHER YEAR? — As the two-year period since the entry into force of the law “On Land” is now running out, and most of the countryside still has not received the ownership document, Mr. Meksi is “sidestepping” time. So today the land problem, instead of being resolved, risks becoming even more acute. At least that is what specialists at local level claim. — On Friday, during a visit to the Roskovec cooperative, the head of government promised farmers that the land would be distributed by 15 June. However, that date has passed and the promise remained only a promise. — Worse still, in many districts ownership deeds are missing and the boundaries on the ground have not been properly defined. This is causing conflicts and chaos. — If things continue at this pace, this agricultural year too will be lost. TEPELENE Officially in Tepelenë all land-distribution procedures have now been completed. But in many municipalities and villages the documentation is still unfinished. Farmers complain that they are heading toward harvest without knowing exactly what part is theirs. COMMENTARY Many now notice that on this issue too the government showed its inability to carry out on time the tasks it had itself announced. Instead of providing a solution, it extended deadlines and created confusion. From the Socialist Women’s Forum of the Tepelenë district: From the Socialist Women’s Forum of the Tepelenë district [?]

What will the capital’s municipality be like?

Many now notice that the city needs an efficient, transparent administration with a sense of responsibility. Will the future mayor be able to cope with the many demands of a capital in transition? These questions are being raised not only by specialists, but also by the citizens themselves. Experience over recent years shows that a lack of expertise and financial control has caused numerous urban problems, from sanitation to transport. In any case, expectations are high.

Who are the RTV “democrats” afraid of?

This is not the first time that the portrayal of political life on RTV has been done with double standards. Instead of objective reporting, the viewer is confronted with one-sided comments and silence about developments that do not suit those in power. TV portrays, in amplified form, government activity, but minimizes or ignores critical voices. In these circumstances the question arises: who are the RTV “democrats” afraid of? USA The proposed names on the candidate lists from the Democratic Party for members of parliament are becoming increasingly vocal. This shows that within its own ranks there is dissatisfaction and distrust. They highlight the fact that the voice of the opposition must also be heard. HIGHLIGHT

Ahead of the local elections

(From the meeting of the General Committee of the PSSH) An assessment of the political and economic situation in the country, as well as the tasks facing the Socialist Party, were at the center of the meeting of the General Committee of the PSSH. In the discussions it was emphasized that the PD is trying to use power to secure advantages in the local elections. Concern was raised about pressures on the administration and about an unequal atmosphere of competition. Committee members stressed the need for greater organizational mobilization and for more direct contacts with the electorate. (Continued on page 5) Written by Rubens PSSH-Së [?]

Mihal prosecutor praised the “unchanged Slotorov”

(Continued on page 3) As public opinion has been shaken by serious acts of justice, the prosecution has seen fit to defend persons implicated in wrongful decisions. This has increased public distrust of law enforcement bodies. In the case in question, the prosecutor supported a position that was widely criticized, leaving the impression of institutional bias.

WITH THE PARTY'S MARK - SHIFR

A REFLECTION OF THE TIME In 1992, in the circles of political propaganda of the time, theses began to circulate which sought to present the PSSH as the heir of the past. In fact, the real debate was about how a new socialist alternative would be built. 1- Another discussion was that of political identity and the relationship with the electorate. 2- The signatures and slogans used in campaigns could not replace concrete work with people. 3- The moment called for reflection and not empty rhetoric. TWO NEW YEARS OF A DRAMA

a session from the essence? Hajdari and “Pashko” During these two years, many political developments were accompanied by great promises and equally great disappointments. Issues presented as historic solutions remained unresolved. On the economic front, the country faced falling production, unemployment and social insecurity. On the political front, the rhetoric of conflict prevailed over the need for dialogue. Responsibility for this situation is attributed not only to the government, but also to the key figures who dominated the public scene, such as Hajdari and “Pashko”. G. PISHO PARAMERON
