THOUSANDS OF OTHER WORKERS ON ASSISTANCE
New Dibër, around 11.1.1993, at the request of a group of miners, workers and specialists from the Bulqizë chrome mine, we met in the union council office its chairman, Mr. Abdyl Daci, who informed us of the many grievances of the mine workforce. This mine, with over 3,000 workers, has been placed on assistance. The miners say that this situation is the result of mismanagement, negligence and the wrong actions of the enterprise’s leaders.
He added that since 1 January 1993 the workers have been without work and without wages, while their families in these conditions are facing great economic difficulties. Measures are being demanded to restart operations and to secure explosives, materials and spare parts.
The workers and specialists say they have filed repeated complaints, but so far no solution has been given. If the situation continues like this, the consequences will be even more serious for the area.

Human concern
Where is my husband?!
I have relied on what people were saying, and I am addressing you as a way to learn something about my husband’s fate. On 4.12.1992 at 10:30 p.m., my husband, Sali Buzgo, left Tirana for Athens by bus. Since then we have received no news from him. On 4.12.1992 at 10:30 p.m. several other people also left with him on the same vehicle.
For us family members this is a deep wound. We do not know whether he is alive, whether he has been detained somewhere, or whether some misfortune has happened to him. Please, anyone who has any information about him, notify the family.

Courtroom chronicle
Postponed many times recently, one after the other, the court hearings were held for the defendant Nexhmije Hoxha, accused of appropriating state property through abuse of office, and for the defendant Kiço Duxhelli.
In its decision, the judicial panel excluded the charge of abuse of office and classified the case within the framework of appropriation of state property. During the hearings, various testimonies and documents were presented concerning items taken from the state fund.
The defendants gave their explanations, while the prosecutor insisted on criminal responsibility based on the submitted material. The hearings continue.

"Why don't I keep quiet"
Prompted by the publication in the newspaper "ZP" of 10 January of the problem article "Under the Shadow of the Old Practice," the deputy chairman of the Pluralist Committee of Former Reservist Military Personnel, Mr. Veli Beqja, describing the newspaper’s interest as justified, sends an open letter to the chairman of the committee of this district under another name, Mr. Ndre Legisi, in which, among other things, he writes:
"Strangely enough, under the shadow of the old practice, the deputy chairman of the Krujë district committee has been appointed. I want to express my opinion that this way of acting does not serve the pluralist spirit nor the democratic organization of former military personnel."
From this letter also came the response of Mr. Ndre Legisi, published below.

Dritëhe Blerim Cela, light...
I am a teacher with 35 years of work. My soul hurts when I see the injustices done to ordinary people and when the right word finds no place. Blerim Çela is one of those young men who have worked honestly and today wanders from door to door for a solution.
We are publishing the letter as a call for justice and for not remaining silent in the face of evil.

BIANK TOÇKU
On romanticism and realism in the Albanian national question
PAMPHLET
On romanticism and realism in the Albanian national question
Prof. Bedri Dedja, academician
The forehead could be called heaven-cut, with jawbones of flint-like outline, a high nose, shaped like a petal, deep-set eyes. Thick, black eyebrows. He had a piercing gaze. His very appearance, as his contemporaries knew it, became a sign of resistance.
For centuries Skënderbeu’s name has been used for various motives, but he has always remained the central figure of Albanian identity. In this pamphlet the author polemicizes against tendencies that view the national question far from historical and political reality.
