TWO STATES THAT SHOULD UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER ...

Bashkim Kopliku: He wants to go to Greece for the refugees. But is he listening to Athens and the government, or is he making things worse? Why aren’t they speaking? Representatives of Albanian circles in Greece state that hundreds of refugees returned to Albania yesterday as well, while the wave of returns continues. According to them, the situation in Athens remains highly tense and new developments are expected. Meanwhile, according to sources from Athens, Deputy Prime Minister Bashkim Kopliku has expressed the wish to go to Greece to follow closely the issue of Albanian refugees. Diplomatic sources believe that this move should be accompanied by serious consultations with the Greek authorities and full coordination with the Albanian government. In various political circles the question has been raised whether Athens and Tirana are communicating enough to avoid a further worsening of the situation. The absence of clear public positions and of an open channel of explanation has only increased the uncertainty. Public opinion expects fuller clarification both about the official moves and about the concrete measures that will be taken for the returned refugees. The issue has now acquired a broad political and humanitarian dimension.

Whom Does Radio Shkodra Serve?

In its programs and in the commentaries it broadcasts, this radio station has become the target of numerous reactions. In many cases, listeners have pointed out a tendency toward the artificial heightening of political tensions and toward favoring extremist voices. The local radio should serve the public, information, and civic life, not division. If it aims to be a free tribune, it must maintain professional standards and responsibility toward the truth.

Just out of curiosity

THE LUNGS OF A NEW ISOLATION There are signs that old forms of thinking are returning in the treatment of the political opponent and in the administration of public life. Instead of dialogue, labels and exclusions are increasing. Albania cannot move forward with a new spirit by copying old habits of isolation. Society needs openness, transparency, and democratic tolerance.

Prelude to a game conflict: DOES INCOMPETENCE GIVE BIRTH TO INCOMPETENCE?!

Prelude to a game conflict: DOES INCOMPETENCE GIVE BIRTH TO INCOMPETENCE?! Poor Selmani, at least let me cry for my mother first qita with music or secretary? In many institutions there is a palpable lack of professionalism and responsibility in leadership. Wrong decisions, ill-considered appointments, and endless improvisations are becoming the norm. The consequences are falling on the citizens and on the functioning of the state. When incompetence produces new incompetence, the crisis becomes a chain reaction. This situation cannot be covered up with propaganda or temporary excuses.

How Much Is a Deputy’s Immunity Worth?

YESTERDAY IN THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT In yesterday’s session at the Constitutional Court, the issue of parliamentary immunity was discussed, a topic that has sparked broad legal and political debate. The essential question is whether this immunity is being used as a constitutional guarantee for political representation or as a shelter to avoid responsibility. The debate focused on the limits of parliamentary inviolability and its relationship with the rule of law. The decision is expected to affect political practice and relations between the branches of power.

“The reason of unreason done to my reason”

Also yesterday in the court session, the political dimension of legal interpretation was discussed. At the center was the issue of how legal reasoning is used in a climate of polarization and how it is distorted by the interests of the day. If the law is read according to the case and not according to principle, not only justice is harmed, but also citizens’ trust in institutions.
