THE GENOCIDE AGAINST INTELLECTUALS IS BRINGING THE COMPLETE DISREDITING OF THE PD CLOSER
A blue bulletin is circulating from the PD office
On Friday, before the Monday when in the Albanian parliament he was excluded from the PD parliamentary group, the well-known professor and talented scientist of renown came to us alarmed and said that he had been marked with a red cross on an explanatory, anonymous list circulating through institutions. In that list, among other things, professors with academic degrees and titles were told that they were unworthy, incapable, that they had come into office through family and regional connections, and that they were people who should be removed from their duties.
Shaken as a citizen and as an intellectual, we saw this intriguing activity, where slander and fabrication had taken the form of a modern letter-denunciation in the capital, without any indication of the place where it was printed, without author, without signature and without stamp. Nevertheless, the bulletin is blue, just as the PD flag is blue.
Some scandalous names in the content and in the signatures of the anonymous authors, we present to readers, so that they may understand how low this party has fallen in its methods and in public morality.
Something truly terrible happens to a political party in power when it drives out, despises, and replaces intellectuals with politically obedient mediocrities. This bulletin, which circulates secretly, is proof of a climate of psychological terror and denigration against people of knowledge.
It is a discriminatory, unscrupulous, and anti-intellectual act that compromises the PD itself politically and morally.

Today, on 9.2.1993, the Tirana—New York airline is taking off.
This is the second time that Albanians are flying to the USA with a service organized from our country. The new line represents an important opportunity for communication and connection with Albanians living in America.
On this occasion, it is stated that Albanian air transport is entering a new stage of development.

ON THE EVE OF THE INAUGURATION OF THE TIRANA–ISTANBUL AIRLINE
The success of our efforts depends greatly on the help of your people
(On the evening of February 8, in the premises of the Tirana-Internacional hotel, a friendly dinner was held on the occasion of the departure of the ambassador of Turkey to our country.)
I am able to assure the Turkish ambassador, Mr. Suat Akgin, that the Albanian people and especially the progressive forces will remember with gratitude the contribution he has made to strengthening Albanian-Turkish relations.
Luan Hajdaraga, member of the Political Bureau of the PSH and secretary for foreign relations, said that...
He praised the help of the Turkish government and people for Albania.
Afterwards, the Turkish ambassador thanked them for the warm words and wished success.
