People are truly surprised as to why this strange thing is happening. They pay day after day with constant price increases. Every month and every week wages lose value, while the government talks about success, stability and reforms. In the market, the facts say something completely different.
Instead of easing the situation, Mr. Meksi’s government has made it even worse. Its economic policy has brought the country’s life to a standstill, a contraction in production, and an increasingly acute poverty for the majority of the people. The rise in prices of milk, meat and other basic necessities has become unbearable.
While imaginary successes are being trumpeted, citizens’ everyday reality is quite different: shortages, insecurity, unemployment, a decline in purchasing power. This government has turned the economy into a mechanism that works against ordinary people.
To say that the reform is moving forward successfully, when the citizen cannot even buy basic food, is a lie. It is a propaganda trick to cover up failures, to hide the fact that the country is heading toward an even deeper crisis.
If this continues, the life of the country will remain blocked. Responsibility for this lies with the government that not only fails to solve problems, but adds to them every day.
