The President of the Republic of Turkey, Turgut Ozal, received yesterday in Ankara the chairman of the Socialist Party of Albania, Mr. Fatos Nano, with whom he held a warm and cordial conversation. He said he would make every effort to encourage investment in our country and to include it as soon as possible in regional and broader economic and financial mechanisms. President Turgut Ozal expressed the wish that relations between the two countries develop further in all areas of mutual interest. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Fatos Nano handed President Ozal a message of greetings from the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisha, and expressed his conviction that the traditional Albanian-Turkish relations of cooperation and friendship would further expand, for the benefit of both peoples.
