IN THE TIRANA COURT, POLITICAL VICTIMS OF POLICE CONCOCTIONS
IN THE TIRANA COURT
POLITICAL VICTIMS OF
POLICE CONCOCTIONS
Yesterday, around 9:30, before the court, the prosecutor in the case against former senior officials of the PPS, accused by the anti-communist regime, requested sentences ranging from 27 years to life imprisonment.
Comrade Fatos Nano, former prime minister and chairman of the PSSH, Sokrat Fino, Anastas Angjeli, etc. [?] stood before the panel of judges under absurd charges of “abuse of office,” “forgery,” “theft,” and others. During the hearing it was noted that the prosecution’s argumentation relied more on political interpretations than on concrete evidence.
According to the defense lawyers, the trial is being held in an atmosphere of open political and media pressure. They denounced procedural violations, refusal of evidence, and selective treatment of witnesses. There were reactions in the courtroom from family members and supporters, while numerous police forces kept the court entrances under control.
The defense stressed that we are dealing with a deliberate blow against the left-wing opposition and against figures linked to the previous government. In public statements it was said that this is a staged trial, where justice is being used as a tool of political revenge. The hearing was adjourned for the continuation of the review in the coming days.

ANSA, Rome, 13 August. The head of the Socialist parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies, Massimo D’Alema [?], said yesterday that former Italian prime minister Giulio Andreotti will appear in an interpellation with documents related to the Pano-Drishtu-Ishem case. The statement emphasized that the accusations will be supported by verifiable material and that political debate cannot replace judicial investigation.
According to reports from Rome, the case has aroused great interest in the Italian press. Parliamentary sources stated that the documents mentioned concern contacts and alleged movements through unofficial channels. Meanwhile, opponents of the accusation described the claims as speculative and called for full transparency.
The development is expected to affect the political climate in the days ahead, while in Albania the news has been followed with particular attention.

In the making of an order emerges the ocean of 2,500 trickster cheques from Luna Marçel to Nevia Nika
In this chaos of institutionalized fraud, a special place is also occupied by the latest interview of the president’s spokesman with the leading Italian television network “Retequattro” regarding Alessi’s accusations. According to the commentary, the official denial has not dispelled the doubts; on the contrary, it has multiplied the public questions.
The author of the article uses polemical and ironic tones to describe the course of the affair, where checks, orders, names of people and intermediaries are mentioned. The text includes the names Luna Marçel and Nevia Nika, who are presented as links in a suspicious chain of actions.
The article continues with sharp criticism of official propaganda and attempts to divert attention from the essence of the matter.

The president’s spokesman: Alessi is lying?
The article deals with the echo of comments in the Italian media about Albania and about the level of education of Albanian students compared with Italian teachers. The title is used in a polemical way, mocking the political situation and Albanian-Italian relations.
It then mentions official reactions, the possibility of Italian aid being blocked, and the accusations and counter-accusations linked to Alessi’s statements. The full text of the column is partially illegible in the image.
