A new coalition? A friend in the Meksi government

The head of the socialist party and the hopes of our parliamentarians [?] These days, the idea has often been raised in various circles that the two parliamentary opposition political forces, the Socialist Party and the PSD, could enter into a governing coalition with the PD. This idea is circulating quite a lot, accompanied by various comments, not only in opposition circles but also among those in power. The truth is that there is nothing of the sort on the part of the above-mentioned parties; on the contrary, their representatives have denied any such thing. In contrast, such a claim has come from people in the Democratic Party and, in particular, from Prime Minister Meksi. How can this be explained? First, these ideas did not originate in the opposition. They arise at a time when the party shows signs of weakening within its ranks. Second, the country is going through a period of successive crises. Third, there is an attempt to create the impression that the opposition is softening. Fourth, the attempt to put forward such variants in public has to do with the internal balances of the government. In this context, Meksi’s statements are more a political probe than a real offer. [the following text is partially unreadable due to the quality of the page and its orientation] Representatives of the opposition have reiterated that such a coalition is not in their plans and that responsibility for the country’s situation lies with the current government. If these voices continue to circulate, it means that the government crisis is real and that a political way out is being sought.

By resignation of the government we mean a change of government by the PD

Interview with SHPËTIM NANO, he responds [?] In the recent political debate over the crisis of government and the voices calling for its reshaping or expansion, opposition representatives have explained that by resignation of the government they mean a change of government by the PD. According to them, there can be no real solution through cosmetic moves, only through a change of political course. They emphasize that responsibility lies with the current majority and not with the opposition. In this sense, the debate over coalitions remains misplaced and fueled for propaganda purposes.
