Who are Hadjnë Sheldia’s friends?

Prime Minister Meksi Paves the Way for the Joint Bank “ILIRIA HOLDING” - Blerim Çela is not too proud to help Mr. Saliça and... the billionaires of Vlorë! - Ministry director Shpëtim Kabashi once accuses Prime Minister Ahmeti of dragging things out? In the years of socialism, those who were to take up the trade would hardly be turned into private names. Nevertheless, in the present time some old “friends” are again coming to light with new administrative favors. At least that is what emerges from the documents about the founding of the joint bank “Iliria Holding”. The former Nano. As the prime minister’s signatory and spokesman appears the name of Ahmeti [?], while several government decisions circulated in official circles were mentioned in connection with the fate of this matter. The file mentions the name of the ministry director Shpëtim Kabashi, who according to the text accuses others of dragging their feet. In the first records of the documentation it appears that “Iliria Holding” is a company created with joint capital, with domestic and foreign cooperation. Between the articles of the statute and the administrative requests there emerges a typically official language, filled with formulations that leave room for interpretation. In some parts of the material it is read that investors linked to Vlorë, referred to as the “billionaires of Vlorë,” have found political and administrative support. Is this a journalistic accusation or a conclusion supported by documents? The text suggests as much, but the scanned page does not allow a full reading of every line. Also published below is an official letter dated 28.01.1992, with stamp and signatures. The document is addressed to the “Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Albania” and mentions “Iliria Holding SA”, “Shqipro-Zvicër”, as well as other persons requesting the start of activity. Parts of the document are faint and difficult to decipher completely, but it is clear that it serves as support for the main article. The article’s conclusion suggests that the government led by Meksi is clearing the way for this joint bank, while friendship ties, financial interests, and accusations of favoritism remain in the background. Document reproduced on the page with the notes: “Iliria Holding SA”, “TIRANA”, “Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Albania”, “No. 14 reg.”, “Tirana, 28.01.1992”.

Listening to an interpellation

- Who has Arsid’s dollars? - Who stole them from the people? - How were they stolen and to whom were they taken? As is their custom, Albanian traders can never stay quiet. Only yesterday, in the Parliament chamber, where the interpellation on “Arsid” was held, many serious questions were raised. On the one hand there was talk of dollars, deposits, and institutional responsibility; on the other there were exchanges, interruptions, and the typical atmosphere of a politically tense session. At the center of the debate were the questions: who had the dollars, how they had disappeared, who had made the decisions, and who should bear responsibility. Those present gave different versions. Some tried to present the matter as procedural; others called it a full-fledged theft from the people. The scanned text is partially damaged and does not allow a full reading of all paragraphs, but it is clearly a political-journalistic comment on the interpellation and on a financial scandal.

YEARS OF A POLICE FORCE IN DEFENSE OF THE CRIMINAL

In Durrës YEARS OF A POLICE FORCE IN DEFENSE OF THE CRIMINAL Along the trail of our documents, a bleak story is produced, where names, posts, and institutions pass one another without managing to clarify responsibilities. There are complaints, there is testimony, there are accusations, but there is also silence. If the police are placed in defense of the criminal, then public order itself becomes unprotected. From the readable fragments it is clear that the article refers to an घटना in Durrës, where suspicious actions by the police and by people connected to crime are mentioned. The page layout does not allow a safe reading of every line, especially in the narrow columns, but the accusatory tone of the piece is clearly understood. The text goes on to speak of testimony, pressure, interventions, and a lack of transparency. It is likely that the article continues with specific cases, names, and other episodes that cannot be fully read in this copy.

Albanians do not want charity, but work

These days the People’s Assembly approved a series of decisions on economic assistance and social problems. However, citizens are not asking only for charity or symbolic handouts, but above all for work, security, and a concrete perspective. In this spirit, the article emphasizes that unemployment and poverty are weighing more and more heavily on families every day. Occasional aid is not enough. Stable economic policies, investments, and support for production are needed. From the scanned page, scattered parts can be read, but the essence of the piece is clear: human dignity is preserved through work, not charity.

Meksi will take on the status of an economic refugee in Greece

The political irony of this headline is obvious. The article uses a satirical tone to attack Prime Minister Meksi and the country’s economic situation. According to the piece, the policies being pursued are pushing Albania toward impoverishment, while the government officials themselves seem to be left without answers. In the readable fragments, unemployment, emigration, Greece, and the loss of hope are mentioned. It is a critical commentary, with a biting language, meant to highlight the contrast between political promises and everyday reality.

Rebuttal

- The union newspaper “Shqipëria e Sindikatave” is defamatory The governing committee of the Party of Legality, Tirana branch, through this rebuttal rejects the defamatory fabrications of the newspaper “Shqipëria e Sindikatave” of 17 May 1993, issue 13, on page 4, in the article “Halili or where were the people’s millions hidden?”. Halil Haxhi, chairman of the Tirana branch, is as clean as a tear from any accusation and invention made maliciously by the author of this article. In particular, the author acted with the clear intention of tarnishing his image, without presenting any fact, document, or proof. After this, the committee asks the editorial staff of the above-mentioned newspaper to publish the rebuttal in the same place and with the same emphasis as the earlier piece. According to it, the author’s action runs counter to ethics and to the norms of the press. Written by Dewolli SHKËLZEN DEWOLLI
