It has always seemed that the principles of the new government, declared during the election campaign and made public in the presentation of its program before parliament, serve the broad masses and not a handful of people. In those promises, it had been pledged that privatization would be honest and properly implemented. But practice is showing that there is much ambiguity and decisions that may leave room for abuse and corruption.[?]

Referring to the president of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kiro Gligorov, as one of the most liberal politicians in the Balkans, we increasingly come across statements and interviews in which anti-Albanian nuances stand out. On 17 June of this year, during an official visit to Italy, the president of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia gave an interview to Italian radio and television, where he addressed the Albanian question in a one-sided and unfair way.[?]
He spoke of democracy, while denying the national rights of Albanians; he spoke of coexistence, while bypassing real discrimination; he spoke of stability, while implying the preservation of the status quo. In this sense, his statements cannot go unanswered by public opinion and Albanian politics.

In the latest political discussions and reactions, harsh tones have been noted that are worsening the institutional and social climate. The opposition and the majority continue exchanging accusations over responsibility for the political crisis, while citizens remain concerned about the economic and social consequences.
In Tirana, during an event held yesterday, various participants made strong statements that were interpreted as a further escalation of the political conflict. This trend helps neither dialogue nor the solution of the country’s problems.

Socialist Deputies Debate with Renowned Experts in Constitutional Law
- PS parliamentary group carried out the preparatory work for the Constitution -
As part of the preparatory work on the constitutional draft, Socialist deputies held a working meeting with renowned experts in constitutional law. The debate addressed issues related to the separation of powers, the role of parliament, guarantees for human rights, and mechanisms that ensure institutional stability.
The discussions highlighted the need for a more inclusive and transparent process, in which the views of experts should not remain formal, but should genuinely influence the drafting of the fundamental act of the state.
