According to him, the lack of a public and impartial broadcast creates ground for disinformation and manipulation. The charges and the prosecution’s questions revolve around the Italian aid. The investigative committee is asked questions such as: — about the aid, what[?] — about the shipments? — about the documentation? — about the commissioners. Further questions ask, for the relevant period, what goods came from abroad, as well as the accompanying documents. The committee is questioned about various people, about shipments and about names of persons. Gilim Zhurda[?]: “I have not dealt with the aid” Are you fully[?] of other institutions? How did[?] Mit’hat[?] change by giving goods? The witness answers that he does not know, that he has not dealt with them. As coordinator, have you sent goods from the port of Durrës? I do not know, he says. Have you met with the relevant persons? I do not know. Have you seen the lists? I do not know. The witness often replies with “I do not know”, “I have not dealt with it”. Numri Angoni: “The aid is being misused by the market” In the afternoon session, the witness Numri Angoni[?] is questioned. He states that he has worked at the market enterprise. He is asked whether he has learned anything about the aid, its distribution, the warehouses and the documentation. Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly invites FATOS NANO — Mihal Ohtov[?] also to take part in the Conference — On 8 March 1994, the permanent coordinator of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly, Mrs. Ulrike Poppe, sent the chairman of the Socialist Party, Mr. Fatos Nano, an official invitation to take part in the first European Conference of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly, which will be held from 12 to 15 May 1994 in Spain. High-ranking officials of the Council of Europe, the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe, as well as former heads of state and prominent political, scientific and cultural figures from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe have also been invited to the conference. Among those invited from Albania, alongside the former president of the Republic, Katarina F[?]ëri[?], are Mr. Fatos Nano, chairman of the Socialist Party, and Mr. Mihal Ohtov[?], president of the Helsinki Union for Human Rights in Albania.

And, mentally united until that stormy and eventful night, although it was becoming ever more distant from us, we have faithfully preserved two sad images. The first unforgettable impression came from the ease with which the occupiers managed to neutralize even those few nationalist forces that still possessed a certain vitality.
