REPRESSION AND POLICE-STYLE ISOLATION AGAINST FATOS NANO CONTINUES
The court hearing, scheduled for yesterday, was postponed indefinitely, while it was denounced that the defendant was not allowed the lawyer he had chosen.
Yesterday's postponement made it clear how absurd developments have also occurred in the false procedural acts, especially those concerning Fatos Nano, the most closely controlled and surveilled person in the country.
Through a statement, it emerged today that Mr. Nano was not allowed to meet his lawyer, even though the latter is armed with a special power of attorney. At the same time, according to the statement, prison staff themselves were obstructing the exercise of the rights of the defense.
In the latest developments, the announced trial was postponed indefinitely. It was stressed that the health condition of the defendant and the lack of legal conditions made it impossible to continue the hearing normally.
The statement also denounces the continuing isolation, strict police surveillance, and restrictions on contact with family members and legal defenders.

How much longer can the violation of democracy be tolerated
On the basis of Articles 173, 229, 230 and 170 of the Criminal Code, the Tirana district prosecutor's office has initiated criminal proceedings against the leaders of the post office and other responsible persons for abuses with ballot papers, violations of the secrecy of the vote and obstruction of the electoral process.
The statement denounces concrete cases of vote manipulation, discrepancies in lists, administrative interference, and failure to respect the rules for vote counting.
It is emphasized that the results obtained in several areas do not match the minutes of the commissions and that citizens' constitutional right to vote freely has been seriously undermined.
A full investigation and criminal responsibility for all persons involved is requested.
800 THOUSAND LEK FOR A LUNCH FOR PRIME MINISTER MEXI
RESPONSIBLE:
Why is it official or not, and why was this lunch held under conditions of such misery?
Or are they to be paid off with one director or another director the expenses of such an expensive banquet?
Are 300 thousand lek the monthly salary of an employee or not, and can such a lunch be considered normal?
According to some information, the dinner/lunch organized for Prime Minister Aleksandër Meksi cost around 800 thousand lek, which has sparked strong reactions because of the general poverty of the population.
The article raises questions about the source of the funds, administrative responsibility, and the contrast with the country's economic situation.
