The clash with the security forces did not stop the strike
4 SHIK members and 15 trade union supporters were injured. The head of the picket has gone to hospital. The envoy of the U.S. State Department has arrived, accompanied by the ombudsman
Yesterday after midday, the police from the Shkodër public order directorate intervened to disperse the strikers at the PTT enterprise. At first rubber batons were used and later automatic weapons as well, causing injuries on both sides. A large group of citizens gathered in front of the building of the "Migjeni" theater, where the strikers were, as well as near the PTT building, where many police forces had been concentrated. After the intervention, injuries were reported both among the security forces and among the strike supporters. The situation remained tense throughout the afternoon. The communiqué of the Ministry of Order describes the events as the result of the activity of armed terrorists.
