WE REITERATE ONCE AGAIN
THE URGENT NEED FOR
DIALOGUE BETWEEN
ALBANIA AND GREECE
Yesterday during the day on both television channels, si-[?]
mately, in the end, the official voices were explaining and al-
so speaking about the spy case. It was said that, because
this person has left Albania, he cannot participate in the trial,
etc. etc.
Precisely regarding this issue, despite the many statements,
there is still uncertainty. Attempts have been made to present
the matter in a form that does not help at all to calm the
political climate between the two countries.
We are convinced that Albanian-Greek dialogue,
despite the difficulties, is the only way to solve the many
problems that have accumulated. Both sides must avoid
formulations and actions that further burden relations.
In this sense, we reiterate once again the urgent need
for dialogue between Albania and Greece. Only through
serious and responsible talks can tensions be overcome and
a better climate of understanding created.
This position is in the interest of both peoples and
in the interest of stability in the region.

The trial against five Greek minority members
In the courtroom, testimony and documents were presented which, according to the prosecution, are linked to financial sources coming from the Greek government and from organizations called "Nga Demokracia". Yesterday's hearing continued for the seventh day in a row.
Parts of the minutes were read out and explanations were heard about the manner in which the financial resources were transferred, as well as about the people who had facilitated contacts. The defense objected to part of the testimony, asking for further verification.
At the close of the hearing, the court announced that the trial would continue in the coming days.

The rights of free individuals are not respected
The news about housing the Socialist Party candidates in Elbasan, under decision no. 635, dated 4.8.1993, of the Council of Ministers, has become a subject of discussion.
