We will act in parliament, through our positions on the government’s current economic, social and cultural policy. We will raise our voice in parliament against privatizations that favor the clientele and not the normal development of the national economy. We will act with our alternative for the market economy, for taxes, for private property, for the protection of vulnerable groups, for law and security, etc.
As we did in the case of the referendum, we will cooperate with all opposition and progressive forces to achieve common objectives for the benefit of Albanian society.

We socialists will address Albanian citizens with our program in the economy, politics and social relations. We will explain to them where our policy stands and invite them to dialogue about any of their concerns.

Meetings of the Deputy Chairman of the Socialist Party Servet Pëllumbi with ambassadors
In meetings with representatives of various states accredited in Albania, Mr. Servet Pëllumbi expressed the Socialist Party’s determination to support democratic processes, political and institutional stability, and the peaceful resolution of problems.
Dr. Servet Pëllumbi spoke with the ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. [...], with the ambassador of the Republic of Italy, [...], with the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, [...], with the ambassador of Austria, [...], as well as with the head of the Council of Europe Mission in Tirana.
These meetings discussed political developments after the referendum, the position of the opposition, and the prospects for Albania’s European integration.

Referendum - a slap in the face for governance
There can be no democratic governance if the will of the people expressed through the vote is not respected. The latest referendum showed broad public dissatisfaction with the policies pursued by the government.
Analysts and political representatives assess that the majority’s defeat in the referendum is a clear signal of the need for changes in the government’s course.

The referendum result imposes the strict implementation of constitutional provisions, says jurist Fazli Talo
In the key conditions of today, the future depends on respect for the free vote and on the implementation of the existing constitutional provisions. The 6 November referendum clearly showed that citizens rejected the constitutional project and sent a clear message to the political class.
Jurist Fazli Talo emphasizes that the referendum result cannot be ignored and that institutions must respect the popular will.
