VIOLENCE AND CORRUPTION

THE BELOVED WEAPONS OF THE PD TO FIGHT THE OPPOSITION TO DESTROY DEMOCRACY WE DENOUNCE: More than 2 million dollars in the service of the presidential campaign for the draft constitution - Cholera continues to wreak havoc, healthcare of "your brother" - Dr. ERMELINDA MEKSI Now, the political indictment for three quarters of the persons arrested without an arrest warrant by police station number three is being used to justify our work of arrests, denial of the right to a lawyer, and police violence against citizens. After the Kavaja massacres, an extraordinary outburst of police fury, beatings, and arrests ordered by the Chairman of the PD and the government is being carried out against opposition forces. The Socialist Party of Albania strongly condemns this police terror being inflicted on the opposition and calls on the Albanian people and international public opinion to defend, by all means, freedom and democracy from the rule of violence and corruption. The head of state, since the end of the 16 October elections, when he saw that he had lost the entire media and state monopoly over the commissions, has begun his shameless and unscrupulous campaign to seize, by any means, approval of his authoritarian draft constitution. To that end, state, police, financial, health, and media structures have been put into action. According to our estimates, more than 2 million dollars are being used for this presidential campaign, while the people are becoming poorer, unemployment is rising, and the economy is being destroyed. At the same time, cholera continues to wreak havoc in towns and villages, while the healthcare system, ruined by militancy and the government's incompetence, is unable to serve the people. Instead of medicine and medical care, citizens receive propaganda, pressure, and deceit. There is no democracy without an opposition, there is no rule of law with political police, and there is no future for the country with corruption built into the system. The Socialist Party will stand in defense of democratic freedoms, the truth, and the rights of Albanian citizens.

Where early elections are held, there is no real democracy!!

According to Berisha's logic and that of the PD The same high-ranking state officials, who today present themselves as champions of pluralism, parliamentarism, respect for human rights and the independence of justice, through a political decision by the presidency and the parliament controlled by them, at the end of July 1990 overthrew the first pluralist government after 1990, proving that in reality they do not accept the democratic rotation of power. Instead of respecting the free vote and the rules of the rule of law, they use their temporary majority to manipulate political life and strike at opponents. Thus, every one of their speeches about democracy runs counter to their daily practice.

Who is stopping the dirty water?

Shkodër - Midis[?] e Madhe With several pieces on the front pages of this issue, including denunciations about the severe state of healthcare and the spread of diseases, once again an urgent intervention by the responsible authorities is called for. Residents complain about polluted water, the lack of sanitary control, and the risk of epidemics. If immediate measures are not taken, the consequences for the population could be serious.

Who will pay for the loss?

- 400 million in damages caused, after millions of lek were received as compensation - The many economic damages, the lack of institutional responsibility, and the misuse of public funds are weighing on citizens. While millions of lek have been paid out as compensation, no one is taking responsibility for the actual losses and for the mismanagement. The question remains: who will ultimately pay this bill?

Censorship is suffocating the enthusiasm of the movements

Freedom of expression and information is being increasingly restricted by political control over the media. Citizens are served filtered news and propaganda, while critical voices are suppressed or marginalized. This situation represents a serious blow to democracy and to the public's right to be informed.
