As a result, the new obstacles, based on Article 17 concerning the deputy’s mandate and on a deputy’s individual vote, have no coherence whatsoever with what the Albanian Parliament approved last week. Naturally, not everything will remain without political cost. The violation of the Constitution, the rules of procedure, and parliamentary morality will have its own bill. Yesterday, in the late hours of the night, the session continued with interruptions, the replies of a familiar style, and the display of the same parliamentary theater of a majority that cannot hide its crisis.

SHABAN DEMIRAJ The Academy of Sciences of Albania must not be allowed to be ruined and dismantled In the national session, there is no doubt that a part of the nation is being destroyed through the destruction of culture. The Academy of Sciences of Albania is today violent, destructive for science, and should be upheld as it is. Mr. Shaban Demiraj, you personally direct in other directions, with power. The Academy and the scientific cabinet, with their advance scientific work, their entire activity, in its place, are halted; no work is being done. It is no coincidence that in the Assembly hall during this vote there were interruptions, replies, and tension. This was the true reflection of the government crisis. It cannot be accepted that a national institution such as the Academy of Sciences becomes an object of political games.
