THE “ARSIDI PROCESS” IS ASKING FOR MORE

On the eve of the trial, the fishers have still not appeared… Former minister of the Meksi-1 government Osma Shkëlqim warns… Against him and those who at the end of 1992 and the beginning of 1993 broke the law and filled their pockets with money, while blaming and accusing others. None of the former top officials who lit the way for “Arsidi” can be seen anywhere. In fact, most of them have long since left the country. Some of the indictments for their punishment were brought precisely in the name of the people who took hostage and burned “Arsidi” in order to prove the guilt of others. According to certain sources, the files on the well-known names in this affair are being kept secret. People are asking where those are who enriched themselves with thousands of dollars and caused the state a huge loss. The “Arsidi” case has now entered another phase. On the eve of the trial, talk is circulating about the disappearance of several key figures, attempts to evade responsibility, and efforts to distort the truth. Among these names is former minister Osma Shkëlqim, who, according to the article, warns that there are still many things to be said and made public. This file still raises open questions: who signed, who benefited, who ordered, who remained silent? Some of those once close to the Meksi-1 government now present themselves as invisible, but the traces of decisions and documents do not disappear. Political and legal responsibility cannot remain only on the weak while the powerful escape. This case has shaken public opinion not only because of its financial scale, but also because of the way power and the administration were used. If justice is to operate with the same standards for everyone, then the “Arsidi process” cannot be closed without the names of those who fed it and protected it. Otherwise, it will be only a truncated trial, begun amid noise and ended in silence.

Spectacular tragedy

Reported: Spectacular tragedy Balance sheet: thousands of people suffered losses It is noted that a week after a cold wave and frost in the north and elsewhere, hundreds of residents are still facing a lack of electricity and other consequences of the bad weather. Damage to the power grid and infrastructure has made it difficult for people to move and for the affected areas to be supplied normally. In some places, damage to homes and losses in livestock are reported. Residents complain about the lack of help and delays in intervention. The situation is particularly severe in mountainous areas, where low temperatures and snowfall have isolated entire villages. Local authorities are trying to normalize the situation, but means and resources are insufficient.
