THE SOCIALIST PARTY WAS IN FAVOR OF A BROAD, FAST, TRANSPARENT PRIVATIZATION, BASED ON LAW AND WITHOUT CORRUPTION

Statement by the PSSH spokesperson - Our party has not shown solidarity either with the sale and purchase of land, or with the destructive policy of privatizing or bankrupting state enterprises in the name of the PSSH. According to the information received so far, no PSSH body has been consulted with the party base regarding this problem. On the contrary, the party structures have been bypassed in order not to become an obstacle to rushed decisions harmful to the interests of the people. The Socialist Party could not agree with the broad privatization of national assets without first drawing up a clear legal framework, without setting equal rules for everyone, and without ensuring full transparency of the process. We have been, and remain, in favor of broad and rapid privatization, but one based on laws and free of corruption. Our position is linked to the protection of the interests of citizens, workers, and the state. We are against any attempt to turn public assets into the spoils of a minority linked to power. The PSSH demands that parliament and the relevant institutions exercise strict control over this process and make all actions taken public. It is now becoming clear that a deliberate climate is being created to unjustly identify the PSSH with actions it did not approve. For this reason, we consider it essential to clarify public opinion and to reiterate that the Socialist Party bears no responsibility for decisions taken outside its structures and without consultation with the membership. The PSSH will continue to insist that privatization be carried out in the service of economic development, increased production, and the well-being of citizens, and not in the service of clientelism and abuse. Any other path will seriously damage the economy and deepen social inequality.

What can politics do about a dependent justice!

ZEE BROZI "It is no coincidence that, when the case of FATOS NANOS is to be developed, involving the Court of Cassation, the responsibility for Fatos Nano has been given to Dolina". I appreciate that all state mechanisms tried to put pressure on the Court, on the judges, and on Zef Brozi" - Interview with the President of the Court of Cassation, Zef Brozi, given to "Rilindja Demokratike" - Zef Brozi, while clarifying and shedding light on all these issues, also says a few words addressing the pressure that was exerted on the court in the trial against Fatos Nano. He says that various forms were used to influence the court’s decision, from political statements to public insinuations. According to him, justice cannot be independent when other institutions try to use it for their own purposes. According to Brozi, if judges are not protected from interference and safeguards are not created for free decision-making, then every important process risks being manipulated. He also links this to the general condition of the judicial system in the country, where the lack of standards and democratic culture brings serious consequences for the rule of law. The interview also emphasizes that the case of Fatos Nano has been used politically by different parties, turning the process into an arena of pressure and declarations. Brozi warns that without independent justice, democracy remains incomplete and the citizen cannot have trust in the institutions. He calls for respect for the separation of powers and for courts not to be seen as an instrument of the government or of parties. Only in this way, according to him, can a trustworthy justice system be built, one capable of protecting the law and the freedoms of citizens.
