ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY AND THE LEGAL BASIS - WHERE IS OUR FORMULA FOR PRIVATIZATION

- Interview with the chairman of the Privatization Commission at PSSH, SHELQIM CANI, given to editor Haxhi lupo ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY AND THE LEGAL BASIS - WHERE IS OUR FORMULA FOR PRIVATIZATION - Interview with the chairman of the Privatization Commission at PSSH, SHELQIM CANI, given to editor Haxhi lupo - Mr. Cani, at the end of January, in a press statement, the economics department at the Socialist Party assessed the country's economic situation during these years of transformation as an economic crisis. Why did you describe it that way and what consequences could this have for the course of the economy? I think that describing the state of our economy as an economic crisis was real and justified. Regardless of the terminology used over these four years, the country's economic situation was and remains such. If we generally accept that the economy is in crisis, then we must also assess it through its main indicators and move toward finding solutions. It has been stressed several times that macroeconomic indicators such as low inflation, currency stabilization, and the budget are positive indicators, but these are not enough to hide the fact that production continues to remain low, unemployment high, investment scarce, poverty pronounced, and the country's productive base still unstable. As I understand it, are you asking for a reassessment of the concept of reforms? And why, how would you summarize your idea in the first instance? I believe that Albania needs privatization with economic efficiency, a clear legal basis, and public transparency. This means that privatization should not be carried out merely to get rid of state property, but to create sustainable enterprises, jobs, and revenue for the budget. Otherwise, privatization turns into a transfer of wealth without social responsibility. (The article continues on page 4)

The mafia of television information and the reckless account - opposition

The mafia of television information and the reckless account - opposition - Albanian Television under the government's nose and Albanian persons [?] Until 12 noon on Saturday, 4 February, according to what Albanian Television reported, the opening of the proceedings of the European Parliament session would be followed under the chairmanship of Ms. Adebocs, on behalf of the socialist group. We understood that at 4:00 p.m. through the same TVSH, he was supposed to interview the President of the Republic in the evening program in their special show. This shows that words, announcements, and public information are often used as a political instrument rather than as a service to citizens. We do not know whom this way of informing serves, but one thing is clear: the public does not deserve to be deceived with fabricated, incomplete, or biased news. A public television station must be impartial and responsible. (Continues on page 4)

We are waiting and are ready to respond! Tëla, to Zhuliat’s threats

We are waiting and are ready to respond! Tëla, to Zhuliat’s threats Deputy Teta of the round appears to be the one from the first government presented and that is on the minds of senior state officials. We are not referring to the continuing banalities and ridiculous excesses, but to a series of actions and public statements that pose a direct concern for an increasingly heated political climate. If the aim is to intimidate the opposition and critical voices, then this should be said openly. If not, then the authorities must react and distance themselves from the language of threats.
