When will the hand of the killers in power stop?!...

Another death caused by people in uniform -Ardian Lleshi, 28, was killed by Engjell Lik Bikaj, a non-commissioned officer of the Ministry of the Interior, near the President's house This is neither the first nor the only case. The late Ardian Lleshi is a victim of state irresponsibility. There have been 7 cases of deaths from police torture inside the cells of police stations, from Laç to Saranda over the last three years. The day before yesterday's case is the second in the last two months—within Tirana itself, yet Berisha continues to boast about the "stabilized order" and Agron Musaraj remains Minister of the Interior together with Deputy Minister Agim Shehu. Ardian Lleshi accuses His hot blood still reddens the road where President Berisha passes![?]

What is the future of oil in Albania?

After a symposium Prof. Dr. Bilbil Meçaj research director The concept of total privatization of oil is madness The symposium also had serious shortcomings; first, in terms of concretely exploiting this potential and, second, it said nothing about the further fate of the oil intelligentsia and workers. Assistant Prof. Dr. Fatmir Fezga The Albpetrol '95 symposium was an important scientific event. However, under the conditions of the market economy and although the house of an oil well is extremely costly, the further strengthening of research methods is nevertheless necessary in order to raise the level of study before moving on to capital investments. Strengthening the institute's scientific core with program systems, interpretation and mass computerization would raise us to competitive levels with foreign companies operating here. I think that it would be better to take the specialists' opinion into account for the studies carried out in oil exploration. Dr. Maksim Shuli deputy chairman of the national oil commission The audience was surprised by the directive given for the total privatization of oil First, in the oil sector the state needs a protectionist policy, temporary and selective; second, even in the world, oil companies are made up of parts of the public economy (10-30%) as in France, the USA, Japan, Germany; third, Albpetrol can become a joint-stock company in certain relations between workers and the state. Fourth, the idea of privatizing oil seems absurd to me, because it seems to me that we are moving from collectivization (entirely state property) to total privatization. Dr. Sazan Guri Despite the former isolation, our specialists have been guided by Western scientific achievements, through qualifications and the use of contemporary literature, applying advanced global concepts such as those in the fields of modeling, structural tectonics, sequence stratigraphy, seismic studies, etc. Read on page 4
