THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, DRENCHED IN CORRUPTION, CANNOT FIGHT CORRUPTION

The bigwigs of power are sinking under the weight of corruption ARBËNORI: "Even if MPs Ruli and Uka are stripped of immunity, they will not be arrested. If they are arrested, I will resign!" Are the whole revenues that will come into the state budget and, necessarily, cause our country to move without stability in the economy, a plot by foreign powers together with the radicals of Albania or of Abitri(??)[?]? Only a person with professional, moral and civic incompetence can accept, present and defend this agreement. It is enough to read its content to understand how and how oppressive it is for Albania. Since the Albanian state, instead of exercising continuous control over the concessionaire, has no such right at all. The concessionaire also has the right to settle disputes by referring them to arbitration in Rome and not Tirana. Moreover, the newspaper "Albania" reveals to us a bitter truth, but one that should have been expected from the PD government. For this, the concessionaire would share the business profits with Ms. Delijorgji's company. This Italian daily has published photocopies of the document. Thus Salih's deception about the fight against corruption also falls apart. It shows how deeply today's power is involved in affairs, theft and fraud. For two days ministers, deputies and the Presidium of the Assembly have been dealing with a scenario prepared to strip MPs of the SP, Genc Ruli and Arben Uka, of immunity. From all the statements it emerges that they are being accused of slander, but also of corruption. The oil affair, apparently, was not enough to convince public opinion, so another fault is being improvised. Instead of the government accounting for the scandals, it tries to strike those who denounce them. Arbënor's position, that even if immunity is removed they will not be arrested and that in case of arrest he will resign, is proof of a shameful political game. Why then all this noise? To frighten the opposition, to divert attention from the corruption of power and to manipulate public opinion. Albania cannot be cleansed of corruption by those who are immersed in it up to their throats.

A new scandal of the head of public order in Korçë

Well-informed sources within the district police say that he is under heavy accusations of abuse and violations of the law. Instead of following procedure, the case is being tried to be closed. This is another case that raises questions about the functioning of public order and the political protection enjoyed by certain leaders.

The Prosecutor's Office, in a sharp response, counters Parliament

Only a few hours have passed since the acceptance of the elimination of the so-called appointments by order became known. In many cases the action of the prosecutor's office takes other directions and deviates. Often it has stood close to politics and not to the law. Many are trying to understand what is happening in the relations between the prosecuting institution and the Assembly. Is this clash a sign of a crisis of the rule of law or an attempt to preserve positions? In its reaction, the prosecutor's office makes it clear that it will not accept pressure, but its text leaves room for different interpretations. Correspondent of Zëri i Popullit.
