80 SQUARE METERS OF LIVING SPACE OVER TWO FLOORS FOR LIVING Finance Minister Dylber Vrioni
42 million lekë for just one apartment
- With the state credit, housing is being built for officials, while the homeless and former political prisoners wait for the well-fed to think about the hungry.
In the office, the key is with the parliamentary secretary. Nano was wandering around the city because the door of his ministry would not open. It had grown late. The service of the Albanian embassy in Belgium, knowing that the head of diplomacy was also known for his lack of punctuality, took measures to keep our minister with honors as far as possible from the eyes of the guests. He was accommodated in one of the most expensive hotels in Brussels, at 300 dollars a night. It is truly strange how these “secrets” happen for figures of the Albanian state. While ordinary citizens have spent years waiting for a home, some high-ranking officials secure apartments or villas through state credit and with inexplicable privileges.
The focus is Finance Minister Dylber Vrioni. According to the published data, he has benefited from extremely favorable housing conditions: an 80-square-meter, two-story home for living, while 42 million lekë have been calculated for just one apartment. At a time when the homeless, former political prisoners, and many families have waited years for a solution, such cases provoke public indignation.
Not only that. The case mentioned is seen as a symbol of an administration that squanders funds and knows no limits in its luxury. When the country is facing severe poverty and economic difficulties, public opinion asks why state credit should go to the comfort of officials and not to the needs of those living in miserable conditions.

Education with handcuffs on
It is a rare example, even for the civilized world, for a minister of education, who should be defending the interests of schools and students, to be accused by teachers and academics of destructive policies. According to their reactions, the education system is heading toward degradation. There are no textbooks, conditions are poor, salaries are low, and decisions are made without consulting the teaching staff. Instead of being seriously reformed, education is kept under pressure and badly managed.

The development of fishing is hindered
The sea in Durrës has great potential for fishing, but a lack of investment and poor infrastructure hinder the normal development of this sector. Fishermen complain about the lack of equipment, market access, and support. Instead of making use of the maritime potential, it remains limited by misguided policies and a lack of institutional attention.
Madlesa in the teachers’ work schedule is at the bottom
PARADOX
Madlesa in the teachers’ work schedule is at the bottom
Teachers with 25 years of uninterrupted service are, paradoxically, also at the lowest end of the pay scale. Even teachers who have worked for a shorter time than that receive higher salaries than them. Everything depends on the class, category, education, and other criteria, which are applied absurdly. If a teacher with long experience does not have the necessary classifications according to the regulations, they remain on a lower salary than someone with fewer years of service. This has created dissatisfaction and revolt among teachers.
This situation comes at a time when the education system is facing numerous material shortages and a decline in the teacher’s status. Instead of rewarding experience, it is often ignored. This is seen as an injustice that damages motivation and the quality of teaching.
Pensioners had their compensation halved
For pensioners, a reduction in compensation has been decided, which has caused concern in this group. The decision places a burden on family budgets and affects the most vulnerable. Pensioners are calling for the measure to be reviewed and for greater support from the state.
