THE GOVERNOR OF THE BANK OF ALBANIA, KRISTAQ LUNI: HE IS THE CHAIRMAN OF THE APPOINTMENTS COUNCIL OF THE ITALIAN-ALBANIAN BANK

THE GOVERNOR OF THE BANK OF ALBANIA, KRISTAQ LUNI IS THE CHAIRMAN OF THE APPOINTMENTS COUNCIL OF THE ITALIAN-ALBANIAN BANK - The expert of this bank is also Ardian Fullani, head of foreign relations at the Bank of Albania - Are the interests of this bank supported by senior officials whose salaries are paid by the state, or by those who give bonuses in dollars? Meanwhile, with my enthusiasm as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greek Commercial Bank, which was being set in motion by Mr. Divid Merenid[i?], commercial banking activity in Albania was developed. The expansion of this bank, which apparently is the first to have opened with enthusiasm in our country, is such that it has spread to different cities. In these circumstances it turns out that a government represented by the governor of the state bank has paved the way for the interests of a foreign private bank. As has also been made known by several newspapers, Mr. Kristaq Luni, a year and a half ago, had turned a blind eye to the operation of another foreign private bank. This time it is being favored by the governor through other ties. All these facts must be clarified responsibly. (Continued on page 2)
