4. If there were elections on 2 June and Berisha did not run, then what would you vote for?
We would not vote for the governing party 40 people.
According to the same, the right-wing electorate, compared with the result of 6 November 1994, has shifted to the centre-right; the share of that electorate which prefers other opposition parties has increased and the number of those who identify only with PD has decreased. In the left camp there is relative stability of PSSH and allied parties, while the level of undecided voters remains high.
The overall conclusion is that the political climate in the country continues to be polarized and that in the event of parliamentary elections there could be significant movement in the vote, especially in the urban electorate and among young voters.

Albania systematically violates the Iraqi embargo
40 percent of the oil in 1992, 57% in 1993 flow through the embargo’s control! The 5 members of the European Union presented their report.
The French news agency AFP, citing British embargo representatives, reports that a report submitted to the UN Sanctions Committee mentions Albania among the countries that have repeatedly violated the oil embargo against Iraq.
According to this report, around 40 percent of the oil imported into Albania in 1992 and 57 percent in 1993 arrived in violation of the embargo rules. The report was prepared by five members of the European Union who monitor the implementation of sanctions.
The document states that supply routes passed through ports and trade networks in the region, making full control difficult. The British representatives have called for the Committee to examine stronger oversight measures.
The Albanian authorities do not provide detailed comments, but the issue is presented as linked to the period of difficult economic transition and the weakness of control mechanisms.

The analysis emphasizes that Albania has young human resources and a geographic position that can be better exploited for trade and services. Special attention is given to agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and tourism as sectors with a direct impact on growth.
It also underlines the need for clearer market rules, improvement of the banking system, and encouragement of private enterprise. Without these reforms, the article says, the pace of development will remain slow.
