Berisha may step down early from the post of chairman of the PD

- Berisha’s “failures” are alarming the PD itself - In recent staff meetings. The President, with his aggressive manner and his statements, is provoking many different circles and segments. He is carrying out these processes by trampling on and belittling the most important figures in the Albanian state and politics. This display of his is not only consuming him politically, but is also harming the political force that supports him. The recent elections, especially in Shkodër, where the PD suffered a heavy defeat, have led many to ask whether the crisis in this party is now inevitable. The President is proving unable to keep his own structures under control, while his increasingly harsh statements are creating an atmosphere of uncertainty. In various opposition circles, but also within the PD itself, the conviction has grown that Mr. Berisha cannot hold out for much longer in this situation. It seems that the more sober commentators are reaching the conclusion that he may be forced to leave even the post of chairman of the PD. (Continued on page 3 )

No to “tax increases”

There will be no tax increases for business, but we propose a fiscal reform that would encourage production and employment. That is how opposition representatives expressed themselves during a meeting with citizens and specialists, emphasizing that the current tax burden is weighing on entrepreneurship and vulnerable groups.
