Lluan Musaraj, chairman of the PSSH for the Vlora district, speaks: “Yesterday’s presidency meeting was calmer than the previous sessions”
Lluan Musaraj, chairman of the PSSH for the Vlora district, speaks:
“Yesterday’s presidency meeting was calmer than the previous sessions”
- Mr. Musaraj, what changes took place in yesterday’s meeting?
- First, we examined the alternatives that have been put forward for solving the conflict that has arisen among the members of our party. At least, in my opinion and in the view of those who discussed them, all the alternatives have their advantages and disadvantages. We also conveyed this to Mr. Fino, who came to the meeting at around 10:30. After becoming acquainted with the concrete situation and with the discussions that were taking place, Fino suggested that a meeting be held with all the chairmen and secretaries of the districts in order to seek a solution that would be as acceptable as possible. Thus it was decided that yesterday morning the chairmen of the party branches in Tirana would gather, so that they could be informed about the problems of the conflict and express their opinion. At this meeting a calmer atmosphere was noted than in the previous sessions.
At the morning meeting, alongside the problems of the conflict, the need to preserve the unity of the party and to respect the statute was also discussed. It was then agreed that the discussions would continue with other representatives as well, in a day of new meetings.

Fehmi Abdiu, chairman of the Committee on Mandates and Immunities in the Albanian Parliament, speaks
- Mr. Abdiu, the Tirana prosecutor’s office is turning to the court to request indefinite imprisonment for the chairman of the SP, Fatos Nano. What is your opinion of this action?
- As you can also see, in recent days there have been many different statements. I think public opinion should be calmed and legal assessment should prevail, not political assessment. In any case, the problem must be seen in the light of the facts and of the legal procedure.
There have been violations of decisions and procedures, in my view, and this makes the case even more complicated. However, we must wait to see what the court decides.

Suspension of the pendle case in Rome?
Another blow to the accusations, judgments, and decisions of the Albanian judiciary
of the Albanian judiciary
- Mr. Sambari writes that Mr. Xhuveli is dragging out the process. He also says that the IKV case is a document without value. Why?
- That is indeed the case, because he made this assessment in a completely unfounded way. The case has been presented as an official document and has entered the judicial procedure. On the other hand, these accusations and this process are also negatively affecting our relations with international opinion.
