Italian justice finally tears away the legal veneer from the political sentence against Fatos Nano

The latest proof of the complete injustice done to Fatos Nano VITALONE: This investigative initiative blew up the disturbing concern surrounding an outstanding act of solidarity toward Albania for which all Europe praised us. Investigations are closed against the people accused of misusing and embezzling Italian aid for Albania The company “Levante Co” and its director Panajot Kanë are on trial ITALO SAKKHANA, today in Rome, concludes that all this accusation is unfounded. The Rome prosecutor’s final decision, despite the scandal trumpeted against the people accused of providing aid funds to Albania, was that there is no evidence against them, and therefore there is no basis for sending the case to trial. “After both magistrates in the case delivered their rulings, with all stages of the investigation in this proceeding, accountability in Albania is clear.” “This fact means that there is no evidence against the people accused of ‘misuse of funds’; therefore the case is closed.” This is how Fatos Nano’s lawyer expressed himself, while the Rome Prosecutor’s decision was also welcomed by Italian political circles. In the path of the interests of the prime minister [?] and Albanian leaders, this issue was one of the strongest instruments of the political campaign against Fatos Nano. All these developments shed new light on the process that led to his conviction in Albania and on the political interpretations given to Italian aid for Albania.

FRESSH has no owner!

From the preparatory committee to the Second Congress of FRESSH Young people, students, intellectuals, workers, young businesspeople — it’s your turn! A sincere opinion addressed to the young people of the socialist youth forum of Tirana. A great deal has been said in everyday conversations, in meeting analyses and in the daily press about the crisis in FRESSH. There has been talk, and continues to be talk, of how to solve it. The new elections in the governing forums of FRESSH, and therefore in the socialist youth forum of Tirana, showed a noticeable reduction in the number of its members. It is clear that the socialist youth forum of Tirana is going through a difficult period. This reality calls for reflection. This situation has been caused not only by organizational problems, but also by a lack of political clarity and honest debate. Without a deep analysis and without a unifying spirit, young people leave and the forum loses its social weight. It must be understood that FRESSH belongs to no one. It is an open organization, of socialist youth, and it must function on the basis of free thought, merit and real contribution. If we want FRESSH to regain the trust of young people, we must build a new culture of communication and leadership, where everyone feels respected and represented. (Continued on page 5)

According to the information obtained, “Rozafa” has been declared a property of value and the process of its privatization is being delayed. The shackles of Fatos Nano will be broken more easily

AFTER ENTERING THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE : The shackles of Fatos Nano will be broken more easily The most accurate values have quickly taken their place; and lately they are struggling with one voice in the living body of society. TROPOJË - constitutional house in spirit[?] and moral heights, have quickly taken their place; and lately they are struggling with one voice in the living body of society. In an environment where prejudice has long prevailed, the case of Fatos Nano is increasingly being seen as a matter of missing justice. Nothing is clearer today than the fact that Albania’s entry into the Council of Europe has placed the country before new standards and clear democratic obligations. This will directly affect the fate of political processes, including that of Fatos Nano. Public opinion, encouraged by this new spirit, is insisting that cases of political convictions be reviewed and that the truth come to light. (Continued on page 9)

IN PARLIAMENT:

A bright spot after Albania entered the Council of Europe, Parliament elected Siduani of the Islamic Conference A bright spot after Albania entered the Council of Europe, Parliament elected Siduani of the Islamic Conference The votes of 106 out of 113 Albanians in a hospital in Durrës and do not be, openly before the cameras[^?] ...the Socialist deputy’s amendment passed by [...] somewhat disqualifying the Council of Europe and opened the way for the chairman of the parliamentary group of the PDSH, Tritan Shehu. What has undoubtedly attracted the attention of the media and Albanian public opinion this parliamentary week is the noticeable participation of opposition MPs in the vote for the President of the Republic. This refers to Wednesday morning’s session, when, with 78 votes in favor, 10 against and 14 abstentions, the head of state was elected. This figure significantly marked the level of participation of opposition deputies in a procedure that until yesterday had been boycotted. A few hours later, the situation changed again and the confrontation returned to the chamber.
