Chronicle
Vlorëzoi e mban atëherë të spastruar të elektoratit të PS,
It has been almost fifteen days now that the chairman of the Socialist Party, Mr. Servet Pëllumbi, has been going from place to place, city to city, village to village, to get to know, to meet, and to exchange views with thousands upon thousands of socialists and sympathizers. To make known the PS electoral program. To sensitize them to establishing contacts with ordinary people, with the broad electorate, with political opponents. To sense, in the farthest corners of the country, the pulse of the people, their concerns, demands, problems, but also their hopes and their faith in the political and electoral strength of the PS.
Just yesterday and last night, the chairman of the PS, Mr. Servet Pëllumbi, the deputy for this area Kleanth Koçi, the vice-chairman of the PS parliamentary group Mr. Rexhep Meidani, the member of the PS presidency Mr. Thanas Nano, and the PS secretary for public relations Alida Hisku met with residents of Pogradec, Prrenjas, Korçë and Bilisht. Thousands of citizens and sympathizers from these districts attended the meetings to express their strong support for the PS in the upcoming elections and to hear its alternative and program.
Speech by the deputy chairman of the PS, Dr. Servet Pëllumbi, in Pogradec
A new friend monblen spark mitti democracy me, Pogradec? with the rebirth and eruption of democracy in our country, especially here, where the initiative of Janse Kah with Dashnori fought in the front lines against totalitarianism. You, and hundreds of thousands of other citizens in Albania, understood that a democratic regime cannot be a system built on the installation of the cult of personality, cannot be established through pressure and police violence, cannot move forward on the basis of hatred, intrigue and deception. The pluralist system, for which you and hundreds of thousands of others in Albania fought, is a system born of freedom and human rights, of political tolerance, in the name of the citizen’s free voice and free vote. According to the infamous plan, it has reaped and continues to reap the mistrust and revolt of citizens, with no small consequences even to this day. We as socialists, and thousands of other citizens in Albania, are for true democracy and pluralism. That, therefore, is why we are here in your city as well. In the specific case of Pogradec, but also of all Albania, we do not want power over the police and the state administration. We want change through a free and fair vote. This is the only and irreversible path to bring the country out of the deep political and economic crisis, a path you have long embraced.

The Albanian government expresses concern over the settlement of Serbian refugees in Kosovo territory
The correspondent of the Serbian state radio and the daily newspaper “Politika” reports that the Albanian government has sent a protest note to the government of the RS of Bosnia, opposing the settlement of Bosnian Serb refugees in the territory of Kosovo.
After transmitting in full what was published in the newspaper “Borba” on this issue, the Serbian broadcaster reports that the Albanian government has sent another note to the government of Belgrade and the UN administration in Kosovo, opposing the settlement of Serb and Montenegrin refugees in Kosovo.
The news agency “Beta” states that the Albanian government has asked the Serbian government not to treat Kosovo “as an empty place for solving the refugee problem.”
The correspondent of Serbian state radio says that, following the protest by the Albanian government, the Serbian authorities plan to place part of the Bosnian Serb refugees in the territory of Serbia.
The Serbian state radio correspondent further justifies this Serbian plan for “solving” the refugee crisis as more than necessary and urges the Serbian authorities to “wake up,” saying that “it is not enough just to accept the Bosnian refugees in Serbia without having a long-term plan for them.”
