Empty pedestals are not waiting for Berisha

The cult of one man is not enough to convince an entire people The cult of one man is not enough to convince an entire people Empty pedestals are not waiting for Berisha Personal energy, the pathos of speeches, spectacular gestures are not enough to win over the electorate. Back on the attack

Editorial Back on the attack President Berisha, challenged once again by an episode from the “history” of the PD and the government, yesterday launched new accusations against the opposition of the democrats. As we explained in yesterday’s opinion piece, attacks of this kind, repeated after each failure of the government and the presidency to solve problems, become harsher and more offensive. The opposition, which has described these government positions as lightning rods, has rightly denounced to the broader public that they are being used to divert public attention from the real problems. The truth is that these hot days are not being brought on only by the drought and the fear of fires. You are making our day-to-day politics ever hotter. This happens because the opposition protests are also being accompanied by many inappropriate government reactions and by contrived political terms. What the prime minister said earlier and what the president repeated are the most senseless and offensive arguments in our political environment. What on earth has separately prepared the electorate for the vote? What on earth has turned July and August upside down? It has already amended the contract with the PD, has fulfilled the contract with the electorate, because our electoral reform is now successful in Eastern Europe Read on page 3
