Changes are expected in the Tirana Prosecutor's Office

Not all members of this institution will answer before the law, but not all government officials, directors of private and public enterprises, who until yesterday were running around to hide their scandals. The art of keeping people permanently at work requires less noise and more calm in order to strike. Dismissals and new appointments are being demanded for the sake of this institution. The prosecutors of Tirana have decided to react with facts, not words. The inability to act cannot continue for long. The new findings and control files are before the prosecutor. The police officers attached to this prosecutor's office have convinced the senior officials of the Albanian Deviations. The officer convinced the senior officials of the Albanian Directorate. The senior Police officer, appointed by the chief prosecutor of Tirana, has declared that several important cases are being investigated. Meeting with the Foreign Minister of Egypt

At the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Amar Moussa received our ambassador Mr. Saimir Kumbaro in a meeting. During this meeting, the Egyptian Foreign Minister expressed his satisfaction with the close and developed relations with Albania, emphasizing more and more that these relations are moving in the right direction. Albania occupies an important place for our country in the troubled Balkans. Hadji-Baskim Zeneli, deputy of the P-S, expressed the desire for the further development of political and economic relations. American congresswoman in Tirana

The President of the Republic, Sali Berisha, in the framework of the close relations and growing cooperation with the USA, yesterday hosted a working lunch for the American congresswoman and member of the Committee for Business Development with the Eastern World and the Eastern countries in the U.S. Congress, Ms. Carolyn B. Maloney. The American ambassador in Tirana, Ms. Marisa Lino, also took part in the lunch. During this warm and friendly meeting, a range of issues of importance for Albanian-American relations and the latest developments in Albania and the region were discussed. He expressed his appreciation for the contribution being made by the U.S. Congress to U.S. assistance for our country at these difficult moments. At the meeting on this occasion, Ms. Maloney stressed that the USA, as Albania's main ally, will continue to support efforts to democratize the political and economic life of our country. (Page 2)
