The bombardment against the Red Front has begun
For Mr. Sali Berisha, pluralism was useful and good before he came to power; after taking power, however, it has become harmful, bringing misfortune and creating a “Red Front” against democracy.

Note of the day
“Serbian financing” anti-national scenario
against the Red Front
Our rulers’ foolishness knows no bounds. One comes out and angrily sweeps aside the conditions of every agreement he once enjoyed. And as one decision after another is devalued, he concocts statements about “red fronts,” “bombs” and “uprisings” with which pluralism in Albania is supposedly threatened, despite the fact that everyone knows who disgraced pluralism. When the government disgraced the institutions of the state, what was that? When the police used violence against the opposition’s lawful rally, what was that? When they governed through brutality and violence, what was that? When they blew up the offices of the opposition, what was that? When they threatened the right wing and warned the defenseless citizen with dark maneuvers and war scenarios, what was that? So the rulers should not forget, especially since they are talking about them today, that not with the “red fronts” and the “bombs” invented by them, but with their perverse policy they have brought and continue to bring ever greater destabilization to the country.
No more and no less than an open threat to the democratic order is this government’s interference in the elections that are approaching. The structures of the Ministry of the Interior and the police are openly entering the electoral organization game, are preparing confrontation scenarios, are exploiting information services to stir up tensions and sow fear. We are not dealing with concern for public order, but with a political campaign sponsored by the offices of power to portray the opposition as a threat. Instead of guaranteeing a free and fair process, they are turning the state into a party tool.
Another theory repeated without pause is that of “Serbian financing.” This accusation, made without evidence and repeated for propaganda effect, is an old attempt to strike the political opponent with anti-national labels. Everyone knows that in Albania there is a lack of the rule of law, there is corruption and poverty, but there is no fact proven with documents that the opposition is a tool of Belgrade. To use nationalist motives to suffocate democratic debate is a sign of political and moral weakness.
If the government is afraid of losing, let it not invent external and internal enemies. Let it account for poverty, unemployment, the suppression of protests, the violation of rights and the capture of the media. The “Red Front” is a propaganda phantom. The real danger to democracy comes from the arrogance of power and the willingness to use any means against political opponents.
Expanded meeting of the PS presidency
Electoral campaign and action for Albania in propaganda
Within the framework of organizing the electoral campaign and with the aim of mobilizing all the structures of the Socialist Party for the upcoming parliamentary and local elections, yesterday the expanded meeting of the Presidency of the Socialist Party was held. At this meeting, the organizational preparations, the electoral program, field activity and the strengthening of contacts with the electorate were discussed at length.
During the discussions it was emphasized that, in the face of a policy of pressure and manipulation by those in power, the PS must strengthen the coordination of its structures, improve propaganda and clarify its political message. The importance of presenting the socialist alternative for solving the country’s economic and social problems, as well as the need for greater involvement of the membership in the campaign, was underlined.
The meeting also dealt with issues related to the organization of committees, the protection of the vote, contacts with political allies and the preparation of propaganda materials. PS leaders asked local forums to increase the pace of work, maintain organizational discipline and ensure a more visible presence in public opinion.
Emphasis was placed on the need to support the most representative candidates, strengthen ties with citizens and present the party’s program in all districts. In conclusion, a call was made for unity, mobilization and political responsibility in service of the most effective possible campaign.
