One drowned at sea and 30 others missing. All from Maqellara, Dibër A tragic event has shaken the entire area of Maqellara in the district of Dibër in recent days. The shock comes from the news that a son of Ziaudin Qoku from Maqellara, who set off illegally for Italy about a week ago, has been found drowned in the waters of Otranto on the opposite shore of the Adriatic. The news of the drowning was conveyed to the police station of the district of Dibër by its counterpart in the district of Vlora. Having set out for Vlora to collect the body, the victim’s family members received the reply that the body had not yet been returned from Italy. But in addition to the grief that has engulfed the Qoku family as they await the victim, there is also the anguish of around thirty other families in the Maqellara area.
