Facing the dictator

Editorial The announced local elections and those of 26 May have wiped out the dust to quote the words of the Serbian spokeswoman, false-Berisha and, against him, the Albanians who have the honesty to look at the quarrel with the Serb-headed pranksters in a monument of culture. And the solution can by no means be to build piles of wood, from the delusions of the State Department and the OSCE with hope and with a presidential government. These elections, without prior consideration of responsibility and of the ability to change Albania, are being presented to us, but a new conjuncture is set to swallow and destroy, without mercy, the Albania that must oppose it. With the event of the dushkëm (?) and the developments of 1992, parliamentary elections, under the direction of such a committee, could and might not have taken place. Its colors have faded, and the system of commissions alone is enough to document this scandal. And what is happening is happening with governance and with everything; otherwise, no other morality carries any weight. Albania has entered a crossroads with doors and windows ready to collapse and fall into collapse. Democracy in Albania too has lost its sheen; and everyone understands that a fall any further than this is not allowed. With the overturning of the vote and the violation of its character, the very essence of Albanian society is also being changed: institutions elected by vote. If this were a closed story, it would be nothing; even the friends of the ash could be asked in peace. However, the danger is becoming more concrete and more imminent. It is not the time to make calculations from the hober-ishist regime, such as the end of the words of others. The only things it seeks are submission and obedience. On a higher level, it is that it has the lackey in its eye and it takes care of power. The opposition here is dragging along, crushed and humiliated, determined to have free hands for implementing its anti-national and anti-Albanian actions. Agents of the foreign service and the whole line of other scoundrels are fully carrying out this mission. SATURDAY 8 JUNE 1996 7:00 PM
