As is well known, the political line of Sali Berisha and of the government led by him has been, without any change, firm and with great aggression and counterattacks, in order to deceive every day with its worthless propaganda the entire domestic and foreign public. This propaganda and this tactic of the government did not succeed and failure is certain. That is what happened with the government's reaction to the largest peaceful rally held on Saturday in Vlorë. The 11:00 a.m. rally took place in accordance with the human and civic right to protest against the frauds and robberies that have taken place in our country. The angry citizens, deceived by successive governments, gathered in the park of Flag Square, where many speakers addressed them. And calmly, with no kind of organization or punishable action, they stood there by the hundreds and thousands until this major protest was over. There is no reason at all to be surprised why the government woke up worried, seeing such a clear situation in which everyone understood that the dissatisfaction and protests of the people against this government and authoritarian, police state are growing, and that this anger and rebellion will spread throughout the country. So how did the government react? Day and night with public slander and lies, with shameful statements about some alleged social democratic group, statements by the chairman of the Parliamentary Group, and even by some former secretary of the party organization in the Agricultural Enterprise “8 Nëntori”, with voices from small local government officials, etc., who have had no right whatsoever to denounce the peaceful protest, which they have called vandalism and a breach of the city's peace. Without dwelling on this madness of Berisha and the government, we must appropriately recall the calm in Vlorë, which will never forget this magnificent protest, because it clearly speaks of the revolt against the policy of deception and plunder. Meanwhile, in Tirana, the opposition once again stood at the center of the attacks, with the stale and now ineffective accusations. And we are telling Mr. Berisha and his militants that for this catastrophic situation and the loss of trust in your government and governance, the main culprit is you and those who blindly follow you. We are against burnings and destruction and in favor of popular protests - Which are the people who broke away from the PS to return to the country's lobby? The position of the Social Democratic Party of Albania regarding the serious political, economic and social crisis caused by the pyramid schemes has had at the center of its activity the denunciation of the government and President Berisha as the main responsible parties for the situation created. In the name of political responsibility, however, it has also been insisted that we firmly reject the expressions of anti-clericalism, violence and verbal confrontation over which the enemies of democracy have not stopped speculating. For us, the events in Vlorë and in other cities of Albania were and remain a concrete denunciation of the failed Berisha government. The rule of law cannot accept that its citizens become victims of traffickers and ordinary swindlers, who are stripped of the savings earned by their labor through such schemes. Therefore, we are against acts of violence and destruction and we openly support popular protests. Despite some statements, the organized questioning of the PS to tarnish its political struggle, apparently against the opposition and with deliberate nonsense, is being radicalized in their own minds with concepts from the pluralist side. Meeting with the Ambassador of Turkey The Secretary of International Relations at the PSSH Presidency, Pëllumb Xhufi, received on Saturday the chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Turkey in our country, Mr. Aydin Oktar. During the meeting, after an exchange of views on the current situation, mutual concerns were expressed regarding developments in the country. The senior Turkish representative also appreciated the PSSH position on the country's stability, but emphasized the importance of organizing and holding rallies and popular demonstrations with restraint. At the meeting, Mr. Xhufi assessed that the recent spontaneous movements of the people are the result of the pyramid schemes, and are direct causes of the deterioration of the economy and citizens' living conditions, as well as of the country's destabilization. He underlined the moderate and constructivist role of the PSSH in the efforts to defend national values and interests.
