The opposition against demagogic roundtables
President Berisha is seeking accomplices
Declaration of the Presidency of the PSSh
The PSSh opposes participation in roundtables that do not aim at a real solution to serious problems
In response to the invitation received from the office of the President of the Republic, the Presidency of the PSSh declares:
The concern that all Albanian political parties should agree on the essential common minimum for peace and order, expressed in order to calm and correct as far as possible this grave situation, is unfortunately once again in the logic of the propaganda of this false political game.
In a situation where the country and the citizen are clear victims of organized political and economic deception and violence, it is clear that the country cannot pass through its abnormality, let alone, unfortunately, solve it with a gathering of statements and formal “commitments” by those who are the real causes of this situation.
The PSSh opposes participation in demagogic roundtables and meetings that do not honestly aim to solve the real problems that have brought the country into this crisis, based on the internal and democratic opposition.
Taken solely to camouflage responsibilities, these initiatives of the Presidency and the discredited and bankrupt government do not aim either to revive dialogue among political forces, or to create the necessary climate to successfully emerge from this situation, which more than anyone has been produced and is being arrogantly defended by the PSSh government through the police state.
The responsibility of the Forum for Democracy is clarified
The Forum has the mission of taking the country out of the general crisis

The social structure and the economic privatization carried out so far confirm the urgent need for an amendment to Sali Berisha's governance. The essence of the crisis of the current political and governing system is the excessive concentration of power in the Presidency and the merging of party and state, which has now become a tradition in this country.
Conservatism and the excessive concentration of powers in the Presidency do not bring democratic solutions to the crisis. Changes and reforms must be made without delay. Both sides concluded that it is necessary to move decisively toward a new local and governing reform.

In tandem, in support of police actions and the punishment of bandits
President of the Republic Sali Berisha, at the head of the government and in the bloc of his allies, is trying to create the impression that in Albania everything has begun to get out of control. Instead of taking responsibility for bad governance, he speaks of a “state of emergency,” of “dark forces” and of “bandits,” attempting to justify the use of police against citizens.
From observing the situation, it emerges that it is not the opposition that is pushing the country toward crisis, but the inability to provide answers to the citizens' problems. Using the state against the people is not a solution.
