PSSH will take part in Parliament

Meeting of the PSSH Executive Committee: political approval, a real commitment to support further steps toward emerging from the crisis PSSH will take part in Parliament Support for the National Reconciliation Government’s program to hold free, fair and equal elections by June 1997 Of the 83 people present at the meeting, 66 voted in favor of participating in parliament, 9 against, and 8 abstained “...we chose the alternative of participation because, in our political program and philosophy, the foundation is inclusion, coexistence, dialogue and fair political competition, instead of apartheid, exclusion, and hostility that leads to the liquidation of opponents or to their outlawing...” General comment from Dytës, at its meeting on 2 April 1997, in its second meeting: “PSSH: the paths of renewal established that: it annulled the acute political solution and necessarily allowed saving the PSSH...”. The PSSH leadership and the political activity of the coming month; the PSSH presidencies have formulated 10 principles for the Round Table on the Transition of the 9 March Agreement. To clarify the ways of the old people, for the inclusion of the Government of National Reconciliation headed by Socialist Prime Minister Bashkim Fino. The participation of the PS in the Government of National Reconciliation must be coordinated with its participation in parliament, solely to support the program of this government and to realize free, fair and equal elections by June 1997. Prime Minister Fino meets the Italian Prime Minister

GJIROKASTËR Prime Minister Fino meets the Italian Prime Minister After talks with Prodi, the Albanian prime minister departed for Greece; the Italian Kremonisini gave a clarification about Greece. The head of government has [?.] to debë on 06.04. the many internal relations of the USA for Albania Yesterday at midday, at 13:45, Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, who is heading the Italian delegation, arrived at Gjirokastër airport accompanied by Italian Foreign Minister Lamberto Dini. The Albanian Prime Minister, Mr. Bashkim Fino, together with the mayor of Gjirokastër, Niko Peleshi, the district prefect, and the senior local government officials, welcomed the Italian delegation at the airport. Then Prime Minister Fino, Mr. Prodi and the Italian foreign minister held closed-door talks in the premises of the “Çajupi” hotel. According to information, the meeting discussed the situation created in our country, the early elections, and the aid that Italy will provide for restoring order and calm. According to the Italian prime minister, neither a protectorate nor foreign intervention is needed in Albania. The Italian prime minister said that they will find calm, positive ways to get out of the crisis. “We want to understand Albanians, not impose solutions on them.” After that, the Albanian prime minister, Bashkim Fino.
