GJIROKASTËR Prime Minister Fino meets the Italian Prime Minister After talks with Prodi, the Albanian prime minister departed for Greece; the Italian Kremonisini gave a clarification about Greece. The Albanian Prime Minister, Mr. Bashkim Fino, together with the mayor of Gjirokastër, Niko Peleshi, the district prefect, and the senior local government officials, welcomed the Italian delegation at the airport. Then Prime Minister Fino, Mr. Prodi and the Italian foreign minister held closed-door talks in the premises of the “Çajupi” hotel. According to information, the meeting discussed the situation created in our country, the early elections, and the aid that Italy will provide for restoring order and calm. According to the Italian prime minister, neither a protectorate nor foreign intervention is needed in Albania.
