At the rally held on Monday in the cinema hall in the town of Peqin, the same leaders of the PS and PSD were present.
The secretaries general, Rexhep Mejdani and Gaqo Apostoli, the secretary for foreign relations, Mago Lakrori, and the presidium member, Ethem Ruka.
Amid the enthusiasm of those present and their cheers for the victory of the PS and the left on June 29, the rally was opened by the chairman of the PS in the district and, at the same time, candidate for parliament in the Peqin constituency, Shpëtim Kateshi. Speaking about the privatization brought to the people of this poor area by the disastrous governance of the PD, he praised the popular protests as an expression of the civic awareness of free people, who had warned of the inevitable end of the corrupt rulers. It is the PS that, with the verdict of the Sovereign on June 29, will implement its left-wing alternative to rebuild Albania, which has been devastated by the Berishians.

Excessive and tiresome politicization
THE PRIME MINISTER’S PRESS OFFICE RESPONDS:
A politicized report, typical of ATSH, states that “Prime Minister Fino wants the computerization of election data to be carried out by Malaj’s department,” and goes on with a series of untruths that fall short of journalistic professionalism and the ethics of the state administration.
Compelled by these distortions by ATSH and by the general statement of INIMA director, we clarify:
Computerizing election results is an important step for the proper conduct of the vote-counting process, and particularly for the transparency and publication of this data. After consultations with OSCE experts, it was requested that the data be computerized at electoral-zone level and at the premises of the Central Election Commission. The decision taken by Prime Minister Fino to computerize the voting data has nothing to do with the socialists or Arben Malaj, with the dignity of Mr. Beqiraj’s institutions and all the people he works with, or with INIMA’s non-partisan character. The simple fact is that, to carry out this task, the prime minister first summoned INIMA director Beqiraj.
