"The Albanian people no longer have the strength, the nerves, or the time to waste on quarrels among political adventurers, and therefore they are finally asking them to respect the obligations of civic coexistence"

Editorial

Court or shield for crime?! The assessment of this event should not be seen merely as an act that occurred in a banking institution, but as a broader judgment linked to the collapse of the institutions charged with enforcing the law and administering justice. Why has the logical chain of the normal functioning of a society been broken, where each institution carries out the duty assigned to it by the Constitution and the law? Why do we find ourselves in such chaos, where the individual or group feels, against every norm of conduct and action, free to act? Why, instead of vigilance and the strength of the state against the real culprits, are we facing strange moves that favor unlawful actions? If we stop at the case of the killing of the director of the Savings Bank in Vlora, it becomes clear that a dangerous spirit is taking hold: instead of the investigation moving toward the real perpetrators and those responsible, paths are being created to blur the truth. The institutions of justice cannot be turned into a shelter for crime, nor into an alibi for silence. [?]
