NANO AND MEJDANI IN CONFLICT?!

CONFLICT?!
Noise and speculation without any basis
“It is all noise and speculation. Relations between Prime Minister Nano and President Meidani are very good,” the prime minister’s spokesperson stressed yesterday at a press conference, refuting various comments made in recent days by some newspapers which, partly because of an identity crisis and partly because of an inability to investigate the day’s events, have found a nonexistent conflict to serve as a topic for public consumption.
The joint efforts and commitment to restore normality to Albanian life, rebuild democratic institutions and the rule of law have highlighted the very good and proper relations, spirit of cooperation, and modern vision of the two senior state officials. This has led not only to the definitive end of the practices of imposition on one side and vassalage on the other, cultivated during the Berisha regime, but also to a genuine separation of powers in accordance with democratic principles, which is a primary condition for consolidating democracy in a state governed by the rule of law. Therefore, all those trying to find—or invent—a conflict in the relationship between Nano and Meidani should stop dreaming with their eyes open.
