European conclusions are being lowered! Government of Europe:
Full house, the real "Marshall" for Albania
Confidence made it and carried it through five days in this light. This has been implied with such difficulty that never before. This shows, in fact, that we are moving faster and faster toward the future. As they say, it is an unstoppable time, a time that requires us to do more for the future. This is also a challenge for post-war Kosovo, for Europe and for the democratic world. In this direction, there will especially be responsibilities of this time.
This is a new period of Kosovo's development, yet one that is rapidly taking us toward the future. This is the challenge of a great transformation. Even without knowing how the war will end, it has begun to bring money for the future. And this is perhaps the most encouraging thing about such a summit.
It was the summit for the future Balkans, not merely for the present. From now on it would become a model for relations between Europe and the USA, not only for Kosovo but also for the rest of the region.
The houses of Kosovo Albanians are first on the list to be rebuilt. At least 50,000 housing units to help their return to the homeland. The first houses will be completed by winter in a program thought to cost around 600 million euros. It was also a high priority of this summit and important for the European Union as well.
In the stability pact for the Balkans, Kosovo has taken a priority place. There are many foreign voices saying this. They have already begun to take shape. All the summit countries have clearly declared that Albania has gained the status of a country included in the stability pact.
These are part of the lessons that come from this meeting. Everyone understands that there is not only humanitarian aid and nothing more. There is a need for a long-term program for reconstruction and regional integration.
An important decision is that the USA and its European partners are studying the idea of a "Marshall"-type plan for the region. This could be the biggest initiative for the post-war Balkans.
The NATO Secretary General, being kissed by one Albanian, returns.
